A warning has been sounded over voting fraud in a London borough previously rocked by an election scandal.
Communities minister Kemi Badenoch has written to the Met Police and Electoral Commission over her concerns about “family voting” during the upcoming London elections.
She singled out Tower Hamlets. In May the borough will see Lutfur Rahman, who was removed as mayor of Tower Hamlets in 2015 following corruption and vote rigging allegations, again vying to lead the council.
