While this is going on, we had two centre forwards with a combined age of 72 and combined salary in the region of half a million quid a week more or else refusing to play, because they were tired after international duty.

That's how it comes across at least.

That's where we are currently.

I do wonder if all the abuse thrown at Rashford has done his head in.
I know he's minted but tbh he seems to get a lot of **** for no reason.

I don't mean United fans criticising his performances but he ain't out clubbing or acting like a twat or being a prick so the abuse must get to him.

I think you need to part ways with Ronaldo personally. I know he's an exceptional player, and on his day he will win you games.

But it seems that the team is trying to fit in around him, and there's a massive imbalance in the squad and a glaring lack of leadership from the top

Utd look like a club with a handful of top class players, but with no real team spirit.

I don't really agree that everything fits in around Ronaldo.

He's our striker, that's where he plays. We haven't really got another one.

All teams have a striker, right? So it's not a case of everyone fitting in around him, it's case of him being in the team and in his position. It's not like we're trying to carry him in centre midfield or something.

All this idea that he's a problem is media driven bollocks.

Palace v Arsenal tonight, I had a look to see what the highest league position The Eagles had ever finished in, seems it was third in the old first division, now called the Prem, in 1990-91.

I expect @PINKIE might remember (I didn't) because it was a year Arsenal won the title, with Liverpool coming second. Scroll down on the link and you will see the final table for that season: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990–91_Football_League_First_Division

Interestingly Palace never even qualified for European football, back then with that finish.

The Prem as we know it now, started on the 15th August 1992.

Palace have been very good at times this season ... but having watched Brentford against Chelsea yesterday, they may be even more distracted tonight with the one eye on the FA semi and real prospects of making the final ...

Palace had Ian Wright playing for them that season, I believe?

Hoping we can catch them with one eye on that semi final, because vieira has got them playing some really good football this season.

Also think Zaha might be out, or being saved for the semi. and some doubt over Olise and Eze which would defo weaken their attack if they are all out.

They’ve still got some other threats though. Gallagher has been brilliant this season. It will be a tough game for us under the lights at Selhurst park tonight as their fans are always really up for it it. But it’s a game we have to win if we want Top 4 this season.

2 weeks then

Don't see why anyone needs resting for that.

If anything they will all want to make sure they are selected for what is the biggest match in the club's recent history.

Only one way to guarantee that and only 2 games to earn it

Injuries rather than being rested.

NLD has been scheduled for Thursday 12th May

Arsenal are at home to Leeds and away to Toon either side of that fixture.

Spurs are away to Liverpool and then at home to Burnley
