D J Hoilett for Canada in a 4-0 rout of Jamaica the other day. Canada have qualified for only their second ever World Cup. Funny thing.... I was a pupil at Whitchurch High School (when I turned up), many years before the production line of Welsh sporting stars commenced. I do recall however the school's pride in one lad who actually went on to play football for Canada. I don't recall whether he was in their squad at their last appearance in 1986 or even his name TBH, but I do recall just being in awe that someone from "my" school had become an international footballer.
