It should be made universal. When it was tried at this level last season , even our timid leader had the confidence to make changes. I personally think it kept him in his job., but as soon as the 3 sub rule was re-introduced this season, I feared the worst.

This can only help the "Top clubs". City for example have a bench of players that would walk into anyone's starting 11, but because of the nature of how they play and rotation, 60 million pound players have no problem sitting on the bench. Most other clubs have subs because 9 times out of 10 they're not quite good enough to start. More pandering to the moaners like Klopp etc. The leauge Cup will go next.

The top clubs in the Premiership win anyway, and I agree it does help their cause, and it would help ours too, thats why I am all for it. OaU

It'll be like the NFL soon.....when you need a goal, send on the forwards....when you need to defend a lead, send on the defensive unit.

We must never allow different rules within the same league structure. It would lead to all kinds of misuse. EFL must follow suit in my opiniom, or fall further behind in the pecking order. If we dont there will be less attraction for prem clubs to loan out players. What happens in cup ties? EFL players generally play more games, and at international level, and will suffer more fatigue injuries as a result.

5 subs has been overdue for a while to be honest. It will improve the game and the quality of football in my opinion. Not sure why it was ever rollee back, apart from some clubs claiming an unfairness.

My only image of this in our games is that we are level at home to one of the desperate spoiler teams . We are pressing heavily with momentum that looks like a winner is on its way . However , the opposition have used only 2 subs. Then , 90th min- sub , 91 min - sub 92 1/2,mins sub . Yes ref will add time but momentum gone

They have to filter it down the league's surely. Always pees me off that EFL don't allow the multi ball thing either. It would cut down on timewasting at the SoL

Why stop at 5?

No doubt if those top six or so clubs want 6, or7 then that will happen too.

The change is overwhelmingly in the bigger clubs favour, which is why it is being made. It is why all major changes are made.

They should just m ake a rule so that these clubs are guaranteed to win a trophy at least once every two years and have done with it.

Without of course, the ugly business of having to bat away the other scruffy and lowly teams who can occasionally get in the way.
