putting the tax up would make it even more expensive they cut 25 cents a litre off the petrol tax here for the next 3 months
That’s a no then. Who’s seen the corpse of the woman daubed with a Swastika who (it is alleged) was tortured by Asov Nazis, as reported by US Navy veteran Patrick Lancaster embedded with the Russian army. Again, no idea if it’s staged.
I know mate, and I respect you for it. I was just pointing out why a socialist future, with a state controlling and profiting from the Utilities, as I firmly believe should be the case, wouldn’t be possible under EU rules. It’s one on the many reasons I am and was a firm leaver.
what would happen if you raised vat but brought income taxes down by the same level the rich can have as many tax avoidance schemes as they like but they still buy things would the tax take go up Petrol Costs Breakdown No sqn given What Costs are there with 1 Litre of Petrol The cost of petrol is a strong talking point in the UK. But do you know exactly where your money goes when you buy a litre of unleaded? The prices below give the approximate make up of a litre of petrol in the UK as of August 2007. Cost of Petrol This breakdown of the cost of petrol is based on the assumption of a £1 per litre of petrol. Petrol Fuel Duty - 48.35p VAT (17.5%) - 14.9p Refinery Petrol Costs - 31.75p Forecourt Costs - 3p Forecourt Profit - 2p This means that the forecourt cost is 5% of the total petrol price, the oil cost is ~32% and taxation ~63% of the total cost as can be seen more clearly below: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Read more: http://www.whatprice.co.uk/petrol-prices/cost-litre-breakdown.html#ixzz7OrJPNx8b
I did look up the video you mentioned Uber….****ing brutal. Sad fact if war that atrocities will be carried out by ALL sides, and strengthens my point that there’d are no ‘good guys’
I was recently reading about the forced resettlement of Germans after WW2 and the atrocities perpetrated by Czechoslovak soldiers (who were our Allies). In war, everybody does something pretty appalling. Dresden, Hamburg anybody?
Adding to that the numbers of returning Jews killed in Eastern Europe during pogroms AFTER WW2…it makes me despair of the human race as a whole
****ed if i know turn lights off and get a company vehicle would nationalising utilities make them any cheaper
Staines R's said: ↑ So what would you do Kiwi (or is your idea the red bit ) ? and yes the red bit was todays random thought
Personally I think it would make them cheaper, purely down to the fact that profits made wouldn’t have to be paid out in disidentes to share holders or exorbitant bonuses to managers. This could then be used to make things cheaper, while investing in new technology. Of course I’m no economist and it’s a very simplistic view that could have a downfall somewhere.
labour govt renationalized the rail here no better service and on the rare occasion i use it or any public transport not cheap either the govt pretty much own air new zealand after it almost went bust and they have cut domestic services unless there is competition where they then cut prices to drive out the competition and once thats been done they pull out themselves
I think tax avoidance is something they really need to crack down on, and many “loop holes” need to be closed. I’m not saying that there isn’t a place for some kind of “tax free” saving schemes, like ISAs etc….but it doesn’t seem right that those with billions, both companies and individuals, seem ok with avoiding paying the tax that people like us have to pay. We as a culture need to look at tax paying as an honour, and be proud to pay something that benefits the whole community……a bit like the Muslim “Zakat”
