That's life Ponky ... you should never be afraid of stating what you think ... he's an ambitious lad is Youri ... whilst your lot would be a step up it's also a bit of a step to the side... he doesn't need to take that when more vertical options are queuing for him <cheers>

Bottom line is, neither you or me can say with any certainty where he'll go. So your absolutes about him never joining us will look funny if he does join us. And of course I will rinse the **** out of them :)

It all depends on whether we get Top4 and what whether Xhaka stays. As much as he is maligned, he's actually been really good for us this season and him and Partey have formed a solid MF pairing.

That said, Tielemans is top quality and seeing as it looks very much like he wants out, I'd expect us to be making enquiries. But our main priority this summer is a forward, probably two and I think that's where our attention will be focused on.

Jus remember

I can’t allow any Betz4BantzTM affiliations for any possible proposals/bets regarding this matter guise

1 - I don’t want to put my man Pinkie through that

2 - it goes against our company policy of only offering realistic betz and thus safe guarding the mental health of our pundits.

wonder, old boy, as you've gone into the political arena, could I be just a tad cheeky and suggest Kleptopia by Tom Burgis? it really does explain it all so accurately that Blair, the oligarchs and half the libel leayers in London tried to get it banned. And talking of bans, I hope this recommendation does not break the terms of my parole on here, sir. I'm still shaking that bush... :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't read, never have, don't have the concentration for it. Then again, I don't need to read books, to know when people are being ignorant of the law. I'm astounded that some people are even allowed to become politicians, there really does need to be some minimum code they have to know inside out before taking up their posts, especially in the House of Commons. You can't be an accountant without specific qualifications, nor a lawyer, nor even working in the financial sector without participating in a minimum standards test(s). I could excuse some roles within the cabinet, but I really can't excuse someone who is the Chancellor of the Exchequer and has communications with the Bank of England. What really eats at me, Starmer himself is a lawyer, he should be ripping Rishi to shreds - but as I said earlier, all their noses are in the trough, that's why stuff goes unchallenged, but what do we expect, when you read the UK Parlaiment website and find stuff like this documented: PEPs, including British politicians, have criticised the current regime and its application, arguing that it results in excessive due diligence requirements being imposed upon them, their families or their close associates by banks and other firms. Laughable. Full reading here... https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-7376/

I'm guessing somewhere provincial, but you have strong opinions on Premier League (hate it but watch it?)

I do have strong opinions on the Premier League, you are right, most of it stems from the days of Thatcher, because I could see what she was trying to do after the Hillsborough Inquiry. she wanted to eat away at football, because of it's social class, I won't bore you, but attack everything from alcohol to cigarettes, destroy their locals through taxation, and price them out of the game. Social cleansing as I use to call it. Then low and behold along came SKY, it ticked all the right boxes to sterilise the game. These days football belongs to kings, normally billionaire gangsters or headhunters, that's what Thatcher and SKY allowed to happen to our game, and they want to talk to me about sets of behaviours, please do me a favour.

I wouldn't want Ponks to get all over excited and then blow it before the day again ... poor lad just needs to learn from such experiences ... <laugh>
