The FN in France have watered down their previous policies to become more appealing to the French populace.

And while not restricting my point to purely Eastern Europe…..that area of the world (including Russia) does have a massive problem with Extreme Right Wing Nationalism…..and that is a fact.
The fact that these states accept and often assist in the adulation of former fascist heroes, like Stepan Bandera, is appalling, in my view.

But in Ukraine's case, these Nazi sympathisers were given oxygen by Putin attempting to recreate parts of the Soviet Union by use of violence

Again I ask you, does that make them the good guys ?

It makes Ukraine the good guys over the invasions of their territory by Russia because, as I remind you, just 2 or 3 years ago, the extreme right managed to garner less than 2% of the national vote. It is a peaceful country (unless attacked) moving swiftly to a fully democratic nation.

Russia is stuck in the Middle Ages.

Ah ok. You’re position as a Nazi sympathiser is cemented, as is mine as a Putin apologist.

All black and white on 606

If all those who support Ukraine in this fight are Nazi sympathisers, I've got news for you. You're surrounded by them everywhere you go.

I would suggest that not everyone is aware of the Right Wing, Neo Nazi ideology of groups like Azov…..luckily you do. Makes you more of a Nazi sympathiser than Beryl or Sid from Berkshire who have changed their Facebook profile to a Blue and Yellow background.

And if I tell Beryl and Sid they're supporting a country that had a less than 2% vote for right wing parties in 2019, I suppose they'll immediately withdraw their support?

Or maybe they'll feel optimism at a fledgling democracy

I used to support the Yemeni Houthis against the vicious regime of the House of Saud….until Steels pointed out to me that they aren’t really that nice either.

but then I’m not Beryl or Sid

Yemen v Saudi Arabia is for another day!

Meanwhile, you could be Beryl AND Sid if you decided to pursue contemporary trends.:emoticon-0100-smile

Up until he became Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson was vehemently against supplying arms to the Saudis for use in the conflict against the Houthis. The day he became FS he was handed a dossier detailing what a Houthi victory would mean to the civilised world, and immediately back-tracked on his position (not like Boris to do a U-turn <laugh>) and authorised further arms shipments to the Saudis....

Has anybody else seen the video of Ukrainian soldiers shooting unarmed Russian prisoners in the legs? Do we know if it’s genuine?
