So their issue is, someone that is related to a person in the consortium once said something Islamophobic?
Sounds weak as **** to me
The guy who said it isnt even part of the deal, it was one of the guys in the consortiums dad or something. lol
If I was held accountable for some of the **** my dad and grandad had said in the past, i'd be ****ed

Yeah Martin Broughton and Seb Coe's mob are on there, some guy called Broelhy who is working with Clearklake Capital and I think the Rickett guy, but the **** with his dad has put a question mark on him.
Candy is out and the Saudi group are out.
We shall see what transpires

To be fair its not the guy who is in the consortium who said the racist ****, it was his dad, who apparently has nothing to do with the consortium, but the guy is being deemed guilty by association.

Seriously though, if you have a reasonably large pool of investors to choose from, why even risk going for scummy racist ****s?

It's not like it's a choice between an ignorant racist prick and a senile old serial fart machine?

There's the Seb Coe consortium, just go with them ffs.

If there is a respectable British option that Chelsea go with, that would go a long way in resetting my respect for Chelsea.

I think it will be Coe's mob, with Sir Martin Broughton. He is a lifelong Chelsea fan and his investment partners Harris and Blitzer have been investors in Crystal Palace for quite some time. Obviously they will have to sell their part of Crystal Palace if they buy Chelsea, but at least they have experience in (at least part) owning a football club.
