Hello all,

With the site having Malware issues (tut tut someone linking to naughty sites) I won't be getting on the site tomorrow.

Anyway the one I really like is Seek The Fair Land, who returns to his favourite surface and over his ideal trip. 11/1 tonight was too big.

    Good luck one and all

The site has now been re-scanned and is no longer associated with the offending sites, so the warning has ceased (for now).

Incidentally there were two very suspicious looking Newbies on our forum (and a couple of others) today but they have been instantly banned and all posts removed.

Cannot believe they chose the Quito De La Roque thread to spam with some dating cobblers!

Anyway, I am conducting a Betfair lay experiment for a while, starting with some lay selections for today.

I've had a dabble at my own website/blogspot so if you fancy reading it, you can do so here http://betfairlayking.weebly.com/index.html

First attempt so a bit rough around the edges. Anyway, the 3 lay selections are given in the 'Daily Selectons' page, with reasoning.

Brilliant idea TopClass and a nice site. <applause>

I suppose any winning lay is a good bet. I'm no expert either but the only thing that I would be wary about is laying 4/1 shots. You need an 80% success rate to break even. Laying big priced horses (although theoretically they have less chance of winning) is a bit risky for me.

That's what made it suspicious (it was also on the GC Forum). I PM'd the offender and removed the post immediately I saw it. But the second post was an even more suspicious looking link (also on the Newcastle Forum). The profiles looked very similar so I just deleted the posts and arranged immediate bans. We can't risk members' PCs being infected.

Off to lovely Lingfield today with the Next Generation Committee so hopefully have a good day in prospect. About to have a look at the cards to see if i can unearth anything that looks half decent for a dabble.

Edit: Anybody know what Pricewise has put up for the Paddy Power Gold Cup this morning?

Edit: Just seen he's put up The Giant Bolster at 20/1.

Yet another interesting beginners chase at Stratford today with Sybarite bringing some very decent staying hurdles form (behind Champion Court and Bobs Worth) to the larger obstacles. In the following race the same connections introduce Tour Des Champs who looks an intresting recruit, being by the same sire as festival winner Sir Des Champs, in a well contested maiden hurdle.

Over at Fontwell there is a nice looking bumper with some decent sorts from good yards engaged. A small e/w on Billy No Name for me from the Tizzard yard, by Westerner whose progeny is doing pretty well in bumpers.

Best of luck to everyone today <ok>

Oddy, prior to Cheltenham last season old boy Twiston-Davies spoke about Sybarite as a potential CGC horse one day so his debut over the big ‘uns is eagerly anticipated by this correspondent. 10/11 I must say is a bigger price, re him, than I expected as he’s only 3 rivals and none of those could be classed as the ‘reincarnation of Pegasus’.

As I said yesterday Kempton Park is very interesting tonight what with Popular (Midday’s full sister) making her bow and Oldjoesaid dropped as far as into claiming class. Anyone who has some spare loot sloshing around must surely put in a claim for the old boy.

Good to see its been sorted out swiftly Ron, you and the Mod team seem to be very proactive and well done for that.

On the topic of yesterdays good will gesture, the young lady purchased me a coffee this morning as a thank you. Jolly nice are us (reasonably) young people.

The moral of the story is, be nice and you might back two winning jollies in a day <laugh>

Good luck one and all today, and RV I said no sugar.

    Sorry Mr Barnes :emoticon-0105-wink:

    3.40 Lingfield - ZOOWRAA 9-2 (BOG)

Looked a very smart prospect at 2 when winning a maiden and then a listed race at Newmarket for the legend Michael Jarvis. Now with Godolphin and started off in the French 1000 Guineas (sent off 10-1) finished last that day but proved she still has plenty of ability when finishing 2nd in a conditions heat at Leicester last time out (Avon Lady winner). Open to more improvement than that rival and should reverse form as she is likely to be fitter for that (5 month absence after french 1000 guineas). Godolphin won this with Aspectoflove last year

Good Morning all, Nass nice gesture by the lady concerned, hope you told her you backed 2 winners though due to your good deed

A few have caught the eye today on what looks a tricky day for punting:

430F: Charlie Longsdon is still going strong so Getmeoutthedoldrums should be up to winning this.

350S: Shuil Royale looked a tricky ride when we were at Sandown, pulls very hard and holds head to the side but should be a class above these and David Arbuthnot should be able to get a sequence out of this one.

500F: Colin Tizzard here for me but is it Alphabetical Order or Billy No Name (with a 10lb claimer up top?) the market money will reveal all! I think they will back the apprentice.

630K: A nice looking maiden with Sea Anemone from Andrew Balding and Paradise Sea from Mikael Magnusson taking on some top yards. At the 40s or better on offer i shall be chancing Sea Anemone and the RFC

    Good luck all

Anyone backing the 'Quest today? I am very tempted at 8s, she will either win or come last <laugh>

I see the punters are latching on to STFL today. Good signs.

Just off the Text from Our Willie

"Black Empress runs in the mares maiden hurdle over 2m 4f. She has been disappointing so far and this might be too good a race for her in fact Dano get on TARAVAL she looks a real staying type judged on her hurdle debut at Gowran Park when keeping on really well in the straight to beat all bar the well-backed favourite Eight Is My Number. She should have little difficulty winning a mares event over a trip so stay the f*** away from mine, ya hear me big fella
Local Celebrity goes for the bumper. He would prefer better ground but, on his best form, this would appear to be a very good opportunity to open his account.Tell Oddy im asking after him, and stay Frosrty ya big Lumox"
