Here we go, Leicester fans getting all excited that O'Neil will be in charge but what when/if he is appointed and he is not the answer to their dreams.

Not really. I think most of us are realistic enough to know it's not very likely. We're just enjoying the possibility.

I hope you do sign him because when he fails you will have nowhere to go and your dreams will once again be shattered ;)

He wouldn't fail, on that I'm certain.

And even if he did, we'll just get another ESTABLISHED manager. How did Grayson's boys get on tonight?

How could you possibly know that he wouldn't fail. I seem to remember festa fans saying the same about Sven.

I don't remember anybody saying that, but Sven would have been success if given time. And time is one thing O'Neill would defo be given.

Besides, O'Neill has never failed ANYWHERE.

It doesnt mean that he wont fail though. Do you not understand that there is a possibility that he could come in and lose a number of games in a row. Your team isnt as good as what you think it is. You guys made some stupid signings which has ****ed up your season. Im not saying he couldnt get you promoted this season or even autos but im just trying to throw the possibility out there that he could do ****

And how much time did sven need? he'd been there for a year and he hasnt really got you too far.

I don't think we will go for Grayson but if we did he wouldn't be out he question. Since he's been there you have lost Beckford, Schmeichel and Gradel when Grayson wold rather of kept them but you didn't make much money from them and as a result he hasn't been able to replace them properly

He could be frustrated there and think he might not be able to take Leeds any further with Bates there

<laugh> omg you're serious aren't you...

Gradel I'll concede on but you still genuinely believe we haven't replaced Beckford or Schmeichel? Out of those he only wanted to keep Beckford and Gradel.

Since Beckford left we've scored well over 100 goals in a little more than a single season. We replaced Schmeichel with Lonergan who has been nothing short of outstanding for us and hasn't shown any signs of the mediocrity we had from Schmeichel.

Grayson won't want to go to you. The O'Neill situation was different simpy because Leeds actually are a bigger and better club than Leicester. We're showing great promise of getting out of the division as well.

But the team that he put together over the summer only played 13 games and won 19 points! Hardly a massive failure, with 33 games to go. You guys don't seem to calling for Grayson's head, afterall, you're only 2 points better off.

if grayson was given the budget that sven was. Fans would be getting very impatient with the way things are going. His budget was really non-existant, so he has done very well considering. Also before the birmingham game we were on a 7 game unbeaten run. When we lost to Southampton and Middlesborough, alot of fans were starting to say that he has taken us as far as he can.

Obviously then, if you were a Leicester fan, you'd would be among the very small percentage of those that wanted Sven out.

We may have spent more than you, but you have an established side that are more familiar with each other. We will improve as the season goes on and we should have been more patient.

I'm surprised if you are telling me that fans were calling for Grayson's head, considering as you say, you haven't got two beans to rub together. Some fans don't know when they've got it good.

We were on a 7 game unbeaten run that included a win against Southampton and an away draw with Middlesborough before we played Birmingham.

well i believe that us leeds fans in general are more fickle than the average fan. We know what we expect of the team and if it looks otherwise we jump the gun.

Personally if i were a leicester fan i woulda wanted sven sacked the moment he was appointed. I think he is a very overrated manager. But you still spent money which puts the pressure on as every expects instant success which is always unlikely

Eight of our first XI were either not at the club last season or hadn't ever held down a regular place. The 'gelling' process really wasn't much different to yours, it's just that we were managed better and the players Grayson's brought in and used tend to be British and have a good attitude, thereby ensuring there's a decent spirit within the camp rather than having to bow to the wishes of foreign prima donnas.

We will improve as the season goes on and we should have been more patient.

I also think you'll improve and probably get in the autos. Doesn't mean I like the way you've done it, but that's another matter.

Some of our fans don't factor in Bates for some reason when they form their opinions about Grayson. Don't know why.

Your fans may be more fickle than most but out Chairmen have always been too!

You have to spend money to get out of these league. I can't think of too many clubs that have got promoted and survived without doing so. But that doesn't mean you should expect instantaneous success. It took QPR two seasons, so why should we expect different? On the subject of QPR, the main thing Sven was criticised for by our fans was the performances, even when we won. But QPR played shocking football all through the season last year. Every team they played looked better, but they kept winning. We were doing this too to an extent (until the Brum game), but it wasn't good enough for the anti-Sven brigade.

Regarding Sven, I think he is a good manager, but his financially demands are (I'm guessing) more than he is worth. But don't underestimate the appeal of Sven abroad, something that I'm sure the Thai Chairman had in mind when he hired him. He wasn't my choice to replace Sousa, but I still think it's a mistake to get rid at this stage.
