    doubt that is fully correct as there will definitely be more payments to the clubs from any increased TV revenues .

    I'd love to see someone conjure up an algorithm that can make 5 or 10 divide equally into 36. :)
    I think I need to see exactly how they intend to make this work before I opine further.

    ESL is dead Jim .
    If nothing else as a last resort UEFA & FIFA would ban ESL players from playing for their countries .

    not that i don't agree that the new CL format is total ****e and wouldn't be surprised if their is a push back from players .

    So the PL is reviewing it's ownership test. What could they possibly have learnt about the Russian (and the Saudi) regimes that they didn't already know?

    36 teams over two leagues, not one. I've read 20 in first league but also 18 in a second league so it's either 20 + 16 or 18 x 2.

    The five home and five away will be seeded to ensure the top clubs are protected and only face the lower clubs in the league format, thus ensuring (as much as possible) their safe passage to the next round.
