If so it will no doubt be fuelled by the media and the ****tier pundits, like Merson. They can't wait for the moment we have a bad run so they can jerk off to writing headlines about how much we spend etc.

So far Eddie has shown all the right signs for me and the way that Staveley & co have explained how and why he fits as part of a long term vision makes sense.

Even if we do stay up and spend big, that in itself presents new problems. Eddie will have to integrate them into the squad and keep everyone happy (especially those who don't start matches).

So yes, it will take time, with some ups and downs. But for the first time in a long time I can see we have a manager who could genuinely bring good times, so long as he himself is given time and backing.

And ww3 will ensure we are vaporised before nufc wins a cup

Gotta say - where the **** are all the Bruce sympathisers?!

Only thing he ever did right was not sign Chris wood.

lol

There were a couple (if you count one person's multiple personalities) who knocked one out over his record.... (not the one he never got to play at the SOS).

I don’t care about being best in the world - I am just enjoying watching us play again.

We had Rafa, who seemed to want to just wear the opposition down with relentless defence. Steve whose idea of changing that was to slowly make the defence worse while claiming we couldn’t change as the defensive approach was too ingrained. We finally have a manager who wants to play forward thinking football and has managed to somehow get every onboard with that within a few weeks. Its helped that all the defensive players we bought are comfortable on the ball and why Schar is back playing.

Yesterday certainly showed that the starting midfield struggled against a team with good mobile midfielders. Thought both Shelvey and Willock struggled badly and it was clear that Fraser was shattered and Murphy didn’t provide a lot of support. Southampton are a similar side to Brighton. Armstrong, Romeu and Ward-Prowse work very well together. I trust Eddie to see that we need Bruno from the start.

Shelvey was just old Shelvey. Needs dropped for Bruno.

He was the same Shelvey. Its just we lost the midfield battle and so he wasn’t able to play to his strengths, which are distribution when he has time on the ball. He is ineffective when he is trying to break up play. He just drops deeper and deeper and leaves space that opposition can exploit and ends up nullifying rest of midfield as they end up chasing shadows.

We are going to be in same position against Chelsea and Southampton so agree we should play Bruno instead for those.

Checked shelveys stats yesterday

Not one tackle one and not one foul made either.

He's just floating around in front of the back 4

No chances created either. Ge basically didn’t do anything. Actually I remember him losing the ball which nearly led to a goal for them.

His pass accuracy wasn't that good either.

The thing is he does do a job ans has been playing better, but it's down to the efforts of Joelinton and willock giving him space and time.

If you're swapping Bruno anyone right now it should be him, but I don't think Bruno will get a start until there's an injury.

Wilock was motm for me yesterday.. Burn or willock.

Best manager we have had in 15 years, more even.

On the evidence so far definitely... It's been an incredible turnaround. The injuries we've had would've relegated us under most managers yet we've kept winning.

Outsiders will say he's had 100ms blah blah blah but

1. Most of that isn't on the pitch
2. Trippier max and Wilson got injured
3. Results were improving before January along with possession
4.other clubs spent money in January too like Everton for example.
