Here's a video highlighted on an article in News Now (Spurs Musings) that's a lovely summing up of why VDV's my fave Spurs player these days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=924KIJKbbIA While on the subject of videos, while searching for the VDV one on You Tube I came across this fantastic Spurs tribute, I think by the same person. I've seen this one before, and it's one of the best Spurs vids ever, IMHO. http://www.youtube.com/user/yidvids2?blend=13&ob=5
That last one gave me goosebumps. Epic. The Bill Nicholson era was before my time but I love seeing glimpses of football how it used to be, especially done in such a magical way.
Fingers crossed in five years time we can have a 15 minute video of Van der Vaart goals. Also agree that that second one is incredible, never seen it before so thanks, but think it might have overtaken 'Giants Awakening' for the top spot.
Why I absolutely love Modric (and this is just in one game!): http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xd1dkf_luka-modriy-vs-chelsea_sport "And I know his dentist - and his dentist says he is a super, super guy"
From the more recent footage would have liked to see Benny's goal against 'pool get in there, one of my favourites, just because it's him. Also watching that video makes me love Crouchy again, such a shame it didn't work out for him, he's a top bloke and loved the club.
I'll watch these when I get home as I don't have sound on my work PC. Reading the feedback it sounds like they're pretty good ones! I'll wait in anticipation!
who do you think is a better pairing for VDV Crouchy or Adebayor. Personally I think that both VDV and Adebayor compliment each other better
I think we are benefiting more from the fact our players are not resorting to hoof ball like they used to do when Crouch was playing. I think Ade is a better partner for both VDV and Defoe - his all round game is better then Crouch and he creates space well with his movement Fantastic vids btw
Ade is a step up on Crouch (metaphorically speaking but I used to love the Crouch VDV partnership. Our team is somewhat different in may aspects now, different personnel and also players doing better/worse than last season, it happens. Bale was probably better overall last season, ditto Lennon, but it's early days yet I guess.
Ade is a class above Crouch. With Crouch all we played was long ball which really p*ssed me off at times. With Ade, despite his rangy height, he has great technical ability and isn't a slouch either if needed to chase a through ball. All round game is just a cut above Crouch, I really hope we get him on a permanent deal (never thought I'd be saying that!).
Crouch: great attitude, great work rate, and some huge goals. The problems were both that he tends to make teams he's on hoof it up to him, and that he can't quite score enough in the Prem. I think technically he's pretty good, but he's a bit slow, and misses a few too many good chances, especially with his head. While Ade is a better player, and seems to be the upgrade Spurs needed, I certainly wish Crouch well.
As do I mate, Crouch seemed a model professional and good all round guy, certainly wish him every success with Stoke as long as it doesn't have a negative effect on us!
Good stuff, does Rafa love scoring or what! I love the way he goes to the fans first every time. He seems to have a good rapport with the first row behind each goal...won't be long before he's on Christmas card terms!
I was a big Crouch fan, and really hated the way a lot of Spurs fans treated him, but onwards and upwards (that's the lge table not height
