Regardless of what YOU consider, the alleged comment is racist. If someone called me a white honkie or whatever, I wouldn't get offended but that doesn't stop it being racist. Referring to the fact someone is black during an insult has no purpose whatsoever unless the fact theyre black is a part of the insult too. Someone could refer to someone black as a "bastard" for example and it would be an insult, but a "black bastard" would make it racist, as the fact you have to bring colour into it to specify makes it insulting - is a black bastard worse than a "regular" bastard simply because of their skin colour?
I think your find that a very high percentage of mixed race as you call them prefer to be called black.
Just more anti Terry / Chelsea English press nonsense. Funny how this story is getting a lot more coverage and attention than the Suarez/Evra incident. Mmm...wonder why...
Because there is actually video evidence of him saying it . There is sod all but Evra's word re. Suarez incident.
I've yet to see conclusive video evidence and why would Evra make it up?? But then again I'm suprised Suarez was on his feet for long enough to racially abuse anyone.
Because he was in Suarez' pocket all day and got throughly pissed off. Wouldn't be the first time he cried racist, last time he got fined for it. He didnt even tell the referee during the match or the media after, he bitched about it later to some French media station, probably didn't think the FA would pick up on it but they did and now they're looking deeper and are showing him up. "10 times" Suarez allegedly said it yet not one United player will back Evra's claim. NO fans saw it, NO mics picked it up, NO video evidence of any of the 10 incidents. Hardly an open and shut case is it. Terry is the England Captain and there is video evidence of him saying it, (although admittedly he says he was just repeating the insult in order to deny he said it). If you can't see the difference then you're a bit blinded by bias.
What football fan isn't blinded by bias??? And no it is not an open and shut case but this is another example of pick on Terry. He is an easy target because some in the media don't like him and rival fans love sticking it in because of jealousy of Chelsea's recent success. Fact is, if this was a QPR player would it be getting this attention? Fact is, until proven otherwise, I'm inclined to side with Terry.
It doesn't matter who he plays for. It's big because he is Captain and thus ambassador for our nation's team. To be acused of racism is quite a big thing.
Really? As to JT, can't stand the guy myself, crap, slow and always the lesser player in the Carvalho/Terry partnership, the guy has no loyalty or moral code but, after looking a few times at the video and sayig the words 'blind' and black' ad seeing how my london mouth shaped the words it looks to me like he says 'Oy, you ****ing blind ****'.
O look, Liverpool fans were justifying Suarez calling Evra a '******'* because it is used in everyday life, and now we have Chelsea fans defending Terry calling Ferdinand a 'black ****'* because Ferdinand is actually black. Such pathetic football fans, going so low to defend alleged racism. *They may not of said it but on both occasions people are defending the players regardless.
So terry has no loyalty? even though his been at chelsea throughout his career, his crap? but yet his rated one of the best centre backs in the world and is the england and chelsea captain, his slow? even though he manages to quickly get away from people during corners and score headers, my oh my you are a ****ing idiot
I've seen the video and whilst i'm not an expert in lip reading i can't tell he's saying "black ****" I still think John Terry is a wuffian, bwaggart and wapscalian though
Ashley Cole (a player of coloured ethnicity) has vowed to back Terry up in this whole charade. Are you all too blinded by hatred to see what this proves?
So you're fine with your players calling people black ****s, despite quite a few players in your own squad being black. If it turns out to be true, what will the likes of Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge (3 strikers) think of Terry, and don't forget Bosingwa (sp). People are not attacking the players, there is clear video evidence that he said something along the lines of 'black ****' and he also said 'knobhead'. What do you say to the fact that there is video evidence that he said something like it. Surely he should get done for swearing anyway, remember Rooney?
