If Austin insists on putting himself out there online, having a pop at fans after he plays as he did and mostly does for the dough he’s on, expect a bit back. Not saying people should mention his wife, kids or anyone else but don’t badmouth the people who spend a big chunk of their wages to see you phone it in again doing an impression of a competent centre forward.
This, exactly. We're punching way above our (financial) weight, and most of that's down to Warburton. I felt we were losing our way from the Boro game - pussyfooting, tippy-tapping balls across the field and back repeatedly in our own half, and no penetration. It's serious but I think Warbs will fix it. If we can stay in the play off positions and hit decent form at the end of the season...
Yes, I follow Charlie on Twitter and saw this. These posters need to be tracked down and given a stadium ban
Doesn’t look like she said anything about criticism for her husband BR, she only made the point of calling their kids names as being unacceptable - completely agree. There’s absolutely nothing right about it 100%. If you can’t make a point without name calling you need to take a look at yourself. You ****!
I agree it’s unnecessary and it’s probably kids mainly but it’s pretty easy to ignore rather than seeking attention and sympathy off the back of it. If she wants to blame someone she can have a word with her husband.
Great post. Offered our current position at the start of the season I'd have said a massive "yes please." We were never going to go all season without a few wobbly patches. Our job is to get behind the team when the going gets tough. Lots of us were calling for MWs head in Dec/Jan of last season and look what happened after that. I remember saying that I didn't want him to go, but only because I didn't see anyone else inspiring who would take over - hardly an enthusiastic backing. We're 4th. We (broadly) play attractive football. The accounts are better than they have been in yonks in the worst financial climate for ages. We're developing young players again who actually want to play for the shirt (can't stress that one enough). The club is back in touch with its roots by inviting old players back, Stan's stand, and the ongoing amazing work of the Community Trust, Tiger Cubs etc etc. If you're unable to enjoy this season then you really ought to stop trying to enjoy football at all. None of that is to say there isn't a place for measured discussion about how we change things up to get back to winning ways - be that formation, starting XI or other tactics. Panic and calling for MW to go, though, is comical.
Well maybe, but “attack” is a bit strong. Your proposed punishment doesn’t fit the crime, in my humble opinion
I don't mean a life ban, but a season or so. My recollection of the offensive tweet was that the poster called the kids ugly or similar.
You're probably right about the ban. But the idea of hate messages about wives and children of our players apparently by our own fans, especially when we're challenging for promotion, makes me despair.
Are they real fans or just muppet Internet twats ? Every one of these so called fans spends 20 hours a day abusing someone or other on the Internet, sad ****ers ain't got a life so spend their time trying to ruin other people's. All these social networks have a lot to answer for, that's why I never use any if them. Being on here is my only time spent conversing with other people, that's more than enough for me lol. These mutants culpable of these actions need to be prosecuted and banged up, **** these lenient punishments. See how like B block in Wandsworth !
i know how you feel. I think the people abusing Austin's wife and kids did think they were QPR fans, because there were accompanying tweets about the team's recent poor performances. Sad bastards
I'm just beginning to wonder if these last 3 games are all part of a cunning plan...... Couple of weeks back I posted that we had 17 games left and 10 wins and a draw would gives us 83 points...... well Saturday was the draw so in the 14 games we have left win 10 of them and we have 83 points.......... if, and I realise it's a big IF, we win 10 of the last 14 games we would in all probability go into the Play Offs as the form team......... see there is a plan........ Lets get the first of those wins on Wednesday and get the momentum going........ BTW by rights we should have had that first win on Saturday, just watched the highlights on offish and 2nd half was very good...... just poor officiating cost us, still think we should have had a penalty for Ingram taking out Uncs, that wasn't just a coming together, especially when you look at the penalty Huddersfield got at Fulham, that was far more a coming together than a foul by the Fulham keeper...... Anyway, this is still doable.......
