Is anyone else still smarting over Wembley 2010? What a game that was. Turned out to be the pinnacle of Dave Jones's stewardship. But onward to 2022 and another game against the Tangerines but this time at fortress CCS (well it's getting that way). Blackpool is another club having a topsy turvy season so typical of the Championship. But will Mr Madine return to haunt us? Nah! Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds
Gary Madine. What did we pay for him? £6m springs to mind, could be wrong. Over 3 seasons 26 league and 2 league cup appearances. No goals, not one. Contract terminated by mutual consent. What a feckin' waste of money!!! We should boo him tomorrow for being a useless twat!!!
Yep - I think it was the £6M that was reported at the time. I seem to remember we were in for 3 players at the time - Madine, Grabban and Bradley Dack. We ended up with Madine.
New injuries update today. Watters - ankle injury Bacuna - hamstring (irrelevant anyway) Colwill- now fit Doughty - back training Blackpool FC await guidance from Police & EFL about travel to Cardiff
Weather better around Bridgend at moment but amber warning for tomorrow. Looks like they are struggling for fit central defenders with first 3 choices injured. Hope they haven't been on the phone to Direby for some tips in getting the game called off.
If the weather in Cardiff this afternoon is anything like that in Gloucester right now, the game could be a lottery. More reasons to get it down and play?
Just pulled up to park. Blowing a bloody gale again but dry and sunny ........ for now. If we can keep it down so much the better although the wet pitch might make that difficult.
City now moved to odds on to win so sod that - I hate putting up more up front than the bookie stands to lose. Looked for something a bit longer so going to have a bash at City to win with a 1 goal handicap - so that's 50 quid @ 5/2. Might have a bash at a scorer when I see the team sheet.
Cardiff City XI: Smithies; Ng, Flint, McGuinness; Drameh, Wintle, Doyle, Vaulks, Bagan; Hugill, Davies. Subs: Phillips, Denham, Doughty, Pack, King, Harris, Ikpeazu. No Ralls and a couple tweaks. Bench looks ok.
I thought Ralls was injured before Tursday's game. Pity, we miss him. Doughty back already. Didn't expect that.
Thanks remote. Stuck a score back in the account and had a tenner each on Doyle @ 6/1 and McGuinness @ 10/1 to score anytime.
He is a steady eddie in the centre of the park. Do hope we can sort something contractualy with him. Morison did say Doughty was back training in the week. Good to have competition / back up in all positions. Unless its to rest him, he'll have to go some to oust Began.
Hope we can turn this around. Brizzle winning, Hull winning even Reading winning. But more importantly, we have a chance to close right in on our cousins who are losing 3-0
