Sky as I've said before never been a reggae dub fan so I've been searching for some reggae that I like. This is what I've found. Not a Stevie Wonder fan other than the Innervisions album.
I like both those tunes, although prefer original dub roots. 90% of the time in my household I have dub playing in the background. I want my kids to grow up with the sound of harmony. Just bought my 2 year old the Trojan reggae childrens song's box set - nursery rhymes in reggae and dub, he prefers it to the originals. Anyway guys I need my bed, got an early start
Luv, that track was released in the UK before the album. I was drinking then in the Swiss Cottage and it was mislabled on the jukebox as something-else. I just kept playing it over and over!
It's a good album, all my mates thought I was nuts when the Red Hot Chili Peppers covered it and I said it was a Stevie Wonder cover.

Just a bit of music news for you - Vybz Kartel (although not one of favourites) is a huge Jamaican artist. He got arrested last month for murder and drug charges and a couple of days ago got arrested for another murder. So at this moment he's in jail awaiting trial on 2 murders and drug charges. With gossip suggesting 1 more further murder charge will be coming his way - making him (if found guilty) a serial killer. Might not mean much to the UK but in the Caribbean it is massive news. A picture of him taken just after the second murder arrest - please log in to view this image Here's one of his tracks so you know who I mean -
Too much murder and violence in the Carribean these days. T&T is going the same way as Jamaica. It's so sad when the majority of the people are warm, friendly decent human beings who have just become overwhelmed by it all. The number of times my Tobagonian friends say "this doesn't happen here!" only to find that it does! Even the laid-back Bajan's are telling me that there is a growing under-current of violence.
Good point. Many people see Barbados as paradise, however, unfortunately these days they couldn't be further from the truth. Bridgetown was crazy last time I went, and had changed so much since I first went. Even hot spot tourist places like St Lawrence Gap have changed. Literally 2 minutes behind the gap is full on shanty town ganster ****. Beautiful island that's for sure but you definitely have to keep your wits about you. Last time I went to Jamaica it was a ****ing warzone. Luckily I go with my Mrs who grew up in Kingston so we have many friends, I wouldn't fancy being a lonely tourist on the streets of Kingston Once again though, such a beautiful country, just led by corruption and gangsters.
Yeah but Dave remember all the fresh fish and corn bbq's and evening open-air Soca parties.... beautiful sunsets and friendly weed smoking locals. ..... sadly drowned out by the sound of gunshots
