Wait until you hear - hurrrrry haaaard. Take it from a Canadian who has played the stupid game and frozen whilst playing along with a constant dripping set of nostrils. I would rather watch paint dry and yet it is a religion over here - why???
I have watched quite a few games, ......... v China the strategy seemed ironic played 4/5 ends no points then at end just rolled 2 out of play ... I think end 8? they could have gone for the last stone to end in middle and claim a 1 but didnt took out all the stones!
The strategy can often seem confusing but it will change as the game nears it's last few ends depending on the score. If you are down a point or two coming towards the end the most important thing is to retain the last rock which means you have to throw the last rock giving you a possible advantage. If your team has the last rock in let's say the 9th end you will probably decide to blank that end which means you will still have last rock going into the 10th and that's a big advantage even if you are behind by a single point because you have a better chance at getting 2 points if you have last dibs. Other well known strategies will include protecting your rock on the button by putting up guards to protect that rock and your opponent then has to waste rocks clearing out your protective barrier rather than getting rocks in the house to count for points.

Watched it, bit like watching paint dry at times, but some really tense moments. it was almost a clean sweep!!! A gold and silver likely all we get? but a lot of effort and a just reward!
Well done ladies from here in Canada where we are used to winning medals at this less than exciting sport. My dual citizenship allows me to cheer for 2 teams at the same time and on this occasion my birthright won the day so congratulations.
