Step by step guide from my own experience.

    1) Start to feel a really cold sensation in bottom of throat
    2) getting pins and needles in arms
    3) a feeling like a traffic cone has just jumped you with its mates in the chest
    4) ring 999
    5) will be the first bit of kit the paramedics pull out.

What they shave your chest for not being fit? What sort of health provision is that?

If you have to wait until this series of events it's probably a bit late for the test!. Does look as though the NHS doesn't routinely screen people for this so you would have to go private. Looking at the cost of the tests they probably wouldn't have to stress you running on the treadmill, they could just provide you with the invoice.

So on number 3 that’s definitely the chest area and not your eye?

Try running on a treadmill inclined at 10% at 15km/h, with 6 electrodes attached to you chest and connected to a machine parked in front of the treadmill and you will understand the issue.

It's only required to confirm a heart attack.......as in it tells them there is a big ****ing problem. It's not going to work if its just Joe Bloggs being a tart with heart burn.

......However if you go for a checkup and say its something your worried about they can check your blood pressure (so do most chemists) and your cholestrol and quite frankly if someone needs told they're a fat **** they will say your BMI is a tad high so as not to offend.

Yes but the ECG can flag up a whole host of heart issues. Hidden heart issues. Hidden heart issues that looks to be causing problems in football stadiums.

It can't like......it simply tells them at the time what your heart rate is doing and if there is any anomalies at the time. They can do one where you wear a portable one for a few days and go through the data, if anything is suss they will then send you for x-rays and scans that will show them the problem, an injection of dye etc to see if there is anything clogged in the arteries.

If your in doubt go see your GP, If your actually getting pains then go to casualty. Its possible to have a silent heart attack so if in doubt get it checked out.

I've done all this. An ECG does not state the condition it just flags up a potential problem. Then further investigations. But as most heart issues are silent then waiting until you physically notice the issue isn't a good preventative measure.

Keep 6 75mg Asprin's in your wallet. Best advice I can give. If you get a pain in the chest and pins and needles get the asprin chewed and the powder under your tongue (gets in the blood quicker and thins it)

Personally I've got that but also the spray stuff, think it widens the arteries. Gch or something like that

Never knew you had that, so they obviously think there is a problem?

An ECG stress test will actually show how well your heart is performing, the presence of any arrhythmia, the size of each of the ventricles and whether there may be any damage or blocked arteries.

If it showed anything up they would normally get you in for more tests and scans.

I had mine done initially as part of a life insurance policy, where they insisted on it, so presumably they can assess risk from it.

<laugh> Aye maybe its just the jump from Rafa/Bruce to Eddie. Maybe we should have had a stepping stone to ease us in.

I'm not convinced by this whole vaccine process. Not something I'm rushing to get at present (probably not ever having had COVID). I might change my mind when I'm a lot older and come into a vulnerable category as your immune system wanes. I think they are clearly generally safe looking at how many have had it (albeit the long term data isn't in yet). It does generally look to me it depends how you look after yourself. There will be outliers in terms of the odd unlucky soul, but with the recent reveals via the ONS on how many have actually died of COVID alone without other factors, I think we've been a bit hasty vaccinating every ****er and 'science' as they like to call it has been questionable. These things are rarely about health, and are more about money in my eyes. Otherwise you'd vaccinate every vulnerable **** on the planet first surely? Its a bit of a joke when we have poor countries around the world with vulnerable ****ers genuinely at risk, and the rich countries are working through their 5-11 year olds who have very little benefit from the vaccine when compared with dangers from COVID (and that's by their own admission).

As you say if we truly gave a **** about people we'd be offering discounts on healthy living and pushing it like ****. Away from the whole drama of COVID, we've sleepwalked into a health crisis through processed foods, lack of an active lifestyle, and a multitude of other sins. Its criminal that we guilt people into taking some vaccine, while we've ignored the impact the above has had on the health service for years. I believe in free choice on vaccines and how you live your life in general. However the fact we don't even make much of an effort to guide people and turn a blind eye because some big corporation lines our pockets is a bit sickening. You pay all these taxes to these ****s and its as true as ever that they really couldn't give a **** about you when it all comes down to it. I'd love to hit most of our MP's and those in the media with some of those pans everyone was banging for the NHS.

Its not for my benefit - its for the Mrs. She will probably just leave me for a couple of hours before calling the ambulance to make sure the policy will pay out.
