Another fiver for me . . . . that took a bit of thinking

I didn’t even know todays was a word! Had the first 3 in 1 but dot think of anything! Just tried letters till it gave me a word!

If you google the word it is actually a top story, seems like me and you are not the only ones who'd never heard of it.

Apparently it depends on whether you are using the original or New York Times version. It would seem there are two different words again today.
I got the NYT in 4 today but certainly doesn't have anything to do with a top story.

Got it in 4, which was annoying as **** as had 4 correct on my first go. The missing spot was the 4th letter , for which there were 7 options…..

That felt as bad as driving a par four green and 3 putting for a par.

It seems we're all in the same boat today! 4 green after 2nd attempt and ended up taking 5. Annoying thing for me, I had the word entered in on 3rd go but changed it

Aye, I had 4 letters on the second guess but ended up taking 4 guesses. Too many options on that 4th letter.

When I share and paste on here it comes up like that but changes when I click post for some reason. So today I used the snipping tool to take a pic of it and pasted that instead.
