You still lasted longer than me. I was vaguely pro Bengals as well, but only because I don’t like LA as a place.

Neither do I, outside of Beverly Hills it's a s**thole. Hollywood is full of crackheads and weirdo's. I've been to Cincinnati as well but still favoured LA.

Well done for staying up that late, grandad.

The appeal of rap escapes me, but I suspect it was as important as punk in its day, but has been very successfully absorbed into the mainstream.

I actually like the song 'Still' by Snoop Dog and Dr Dre, it's also quite satisfying to play the riff on piano.

I loved San Francisco too Stainsey, but I've heard that it's snow dived in the last few years also.

Ah that’s a real shame as was a real gem. I haven’t been for almost 20 years so I guess it might have changed a bit from then.
It’s like most American cities I spose…….even the touristy ones had their **** parts

I went there about thirty years ago, it was great, despite our tourist bus crashing into the Golden Gate Bridge ( That's another story. ) Now the streets are full of homeless drug addicts and litter. Apparently they call it a sanctuary city where all the losers are welcomed.

I loved walking around the city and had a long walk with the Mrs to the GG bridge…it was fantastic……the Sea Lions at the pier, the whole vibe was cool. Such a shame to hear it’s gone downhill.

Pier 49, I had my best ever meal there. Filet steak and crab, surf and turf and Alcatraz just across from the Bay ... bliss.

Ah mate, the Alcatraz visit was the highlight of my trip. We did the last trip when you are there as it goes dark……I remember everything suddenly went quiet and even the birds stopped singing.

I've got a photo of me sitting on the Clint Eastwood step.

We went to SF about 4 years ago, having previously been there 40 years earlier. It's certainly true that there are a lot of homeless people there, which is a shame, but it's still a great place. Highlight for me was a 'hippy bus tour', doing all the tourist spots in a flower power VW bus.

Me and my wife ( We were engaged then ) looked liked babies, I've just seen the photo' s as she's clearing out the loft and I'm sorting through the photo's as we speak.

Yes, a bad joke. I just said it because I enjoyed the white fella, but not the black ones.

I didn't like either of them at the time, but listening back to them I now realise they are musical geniuses. I hope that's still the case when I travel in my wife's car. She has Capital FM playing, Jesus Christ it's awful.

Have to say I rather enjoyed the half-time show. Was nice to see the rap music represented for a change - even if it was the old school. Eminem and Mary J Blige were the highlight for me. Made me think how I’d like to see MJB live given the opportunity, I’m certain she would be amazing m.
