Also the whole Valentine's thing made it seem more plausible ... but as I said to her, of course it did!! ... first thing to consider in any unsolicited approach from a stranger is whether it could leave you alone, isolated and vulnerable ... then avoid that at all costs.
The difference when he went off yesterday was also notable. We've actually not been too unfortunate with injuries this season, but losing Wilson and Trippier sucks. I feel sad for him actually because he made a brave move and was probably closing in on keeping his England shirt. Looks unlikely now.
Well you lot would say that, but not many players would swap winning la liga and risking their top flight career for what is actually fairly standard prem wage for someone of his quality. He wanted to move for his family. The idea newcastle are paying silly wages simply isn't true.
So somebody left a top la liga club and European football because they fancied a relegation battle? He's getting way over 100k a week, it's the biggest wage he's ever had. Not that he done it for the money, though He's a good player and he's playing for you. I wouldn't give a toss if he was there for the money or not. He clearly is.
No as I've said he wanted a move to England up north specifically, so it was just perfect with nufc coming into money they became the best option. He didn't have to come to Newcastle and other players like they did wouldn't have taken the risk. Shelvey is on 80k.. 100k isnt over the odds these days..
That isn't normal. He's ****ing ****. They'll not be as many players as you think getting over 100k every week.
Emil Krafth is on 70k .. This is before our takeover. Nufc got Trippier largely due to circumstances. It was just lucky for nufc in terms of timing. He had other options.
But the options wouldn't have been paying as much. So it's money. I'm not blaming him and as a supporter I wouldn't give a ****. It's not my money being spent. Nobody else would pay the likes of Shelvey and Krath any more than 25k
His family wanted to be up north.. That was the key factor along with nufc being a decent looking project with a salary to suit his stature. Without his family wanting to move up north I don't think nufc would've signed him.
I think that was part of his decision, I also think he wanted to be back in the PL to be more visible to Southgate, as it’ll be his last chance to play in a WC. Money also obvs came into it, you’ve given him the best wage he’s ever had, on a contract that could see him there until he’s 34.
