Wolves always prove tough opponents for us tbh. We were lucky to beat them in the leagueearlier this season and it took penalties to beat them in the cup. Only the home game last season was comfortable. The other was a draw. The season before we bear them in the last minute at their place and lost at home. And in their first season up we were 30 nil up but were clinging on at the end to win 3-2 and lost at home (wembley) in a pretty comprehensive win for them. I can't see us having an easy game on Sunday and wouldn't be surprised to see them win.
Soton have done Spurs a favour today. Watch the team show an immense low intelligence in understanding + 'I get paid regardless' attitude tomorrow.
Given fitness and form and the need for rotation, this is almost certainly the best XI available...but how the absence of 2 players depletes the team is truly shocking...especially when one of them is in his first PL season. Oh well, fingers crossed and patience! COYS!
We are going to be outnumbered in midfield again and so we will need to be clinical in our finishing today because they will have more of the ball.
Definitely. Hojbjerg needs to be carefully managed. Currently, he's not up to playing 2 games in 4 days and starting Harvey White, in a 3, would be a huge gamble, given that we, and he, haven't been playing that system to any significant extent. At least we won't be watching Sessegnon, Davies and Son trying to deal with Adama Traore...
A drizzling of fine rain is beginning to fall. I've seen so many of our players slip and fall over in recent Months, I hope they've remembered to pack their long studs.
****ing joke defending! Didn't close down the first shot, Lloris flapped when he should have caught and then noone closes down Nevez!
