Arsenal wants to offer Bukayo Saka a new contract , but Saka would like to wait till the end of the season and see if Arsenal makes the champions league for next season.

So the ‘Mane to Spain’ bandwagon is on full tilt….maybe an element of truth in it. With one year on his contract though, how much would we command for him?

Then it got me thinking about whether we could swap him for one or two of their players….they used to have a ton of promising talent. No idea who’s playing and who isn’t these days over there.

Madrid will be getting Mbappe and possibly Haaland, don't see them fitting Mané in too.

As for Barcelona, don't see that as a good move for anyone.

Couldn't find that on the BBC website, but I did find this little gem:
Paul Pogba will have to make allowances for the final big contract of the 28-year-old Manchester United and France midfielder's playing career if he want to seal his dream free transfer this summer. (Mirror)
What a dog-turd of a sentence.
I think I may have occasionally mentioned how much I hate journalists who only have a vague grasp of coherent English.

half nothing i expect.

With a 1 year contract left i expect its simply a case of shrugging and seeing what we can do.

We now have Diaz, Jota and salah in theory. so this is about whats next again. Next season would we rather have mane and firmino at the party or be back to looking for players to fill in? no right or wrong answers i suppose.

I suspect the Diaz signing was a contingency plan to offset the possible loss of Mané or Salah - in part at least.

Like I said, the possible loss of one or the other. The club is always accused of stagnating and not planning ahead, but in Diaz we may have been seeking a reasonable successor - if it comes to that.

Yeah, ideally though it's an overlap of a season in the plan though as that always works best imo.

There is a wrong answer, letting mane go.

We can't moan about having no depth, sign someone and someone immediately leaves. That's ridiculous.

yup, but he has to sign or not. its kind of up to him IF we put a contract in front of him. Same a s salah.

first the club has to make the offer.

Second he has to sign it.

On then do we start thinking of option B which is sell him with a year left on deal.

If we let him age out and leave on a free we will be buying another player to replace. I wouldn't mind him going on a free TBH. He is 30 this April and would then go as age 31. If he can do what he'd like for 2 or 3 season in spain then fine. thats up to him.

I'd rather 12 months of mane then 15mil or something stupid and be without him. Go in and buy another player then.

That's it, divocks gone in the summer, we dont want to lose mane as well, unless we've got yet another replacement lined up.

origi is well gone. nobody notices when he's out really, unless others are out.

Mianmino is what he is. not really even in this conversation imo unless its to discuss cheap options as reserve.

Mane has 18months left, LFC have to put a contract up in front of him before we can get too deep into this argument.

he could sign up to age 34 for all we know just as quick as leave.

If Mbappe does leave PSG I can see either Mane or more likely Mo moving there. I can't see us paying Mo 400k a week, while PSG will if they want him.

Use the money for Raphinha, Bowen and Bellingham (with some top-up from us) :bandit:
