Woukdnt surprise me. I think it’s in Fulham’s best interest to get it done rather than risk losing him for pennies to a foreign club (he’s Portuguese heritage so more likely to move abroad than if he was English) or go through the tribunal
Jürgen Klopp detailed his excitement about what Luis Diaz can bring to Liverpool in both the short and long-term future. https://api-v2.liverpoolfc.com/v1/l...every-word-jurgen-klopp-said-about-luis-diaz#
I agree. Other than him being born in Portugal, I don't know anything about his background or how he gets to play for England. Obviously wouldn't affect where he chooses to move to.
Was reading about it the other day. Parents moved over from Portugal when he was 11, was in benfica academy before left and then played locally before being dived by Fulham. Apparently we tried to sign him to the academy but chose Fulham
But from Calvalho's perspective, there is no need to rush into anything. Even if he prefers Liverpool, he may as well explore his options now he's allowed to speak to foreign clubs anyway
Maybe. Depends. If he really wants to go then get it done. If he suffers a big injury before he signs a deal might be at risk of getting a move etc
Mane and Salah are not returning from AFCON at the same time. We have Leicester at home next Thursday.
Interesting that his nationality is listed as Timorese (Timor having been a Portuguese colony). I'm guessing maybe one parent is Timorese and one English?
Neither will play that and frankly salah has 2 extra times in a week already plus another likely in the final if they deliver on ther game plan.
