Not been here long and Delboy has had enough and new faces are coming in,to give him options on one or two places.. Is this coded language to say some of our players are crap,it didn't take him long. Best of luck Derek, you're gonna need it.... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...targets-loan/story-13646154-detail/story.html
Poor bloke, he gonna be playing catch up most of the season, which is not good while experimenting... Would have been so much easier at the begining of the season with the pre friendlies...(thanks board!!) Anyway, he's worked out hopefully what we need and sounds like he will get it sorted..........just needs to be quick before we get too far behind.. As I said in a seperate thread, "Good luck Derek you're gonna need it" Now Wiz. are you sure you're not crossing your fingers?????!!!! I did tell you too!!
Yep,I'm listening and using your quotes, fingers crossed with everything else but I still live in hope....
Derek needs to "put his case to the board" if he wants to sign a player on loan, now why does this statement leave me worried? will be board back him? i have doubts, they didnt let Millen bring any loan players in, after useing the same statement... time will tell i guess.
I think they need to back him for new players as it was down to them leaving it so long to let Millen go..... Will be more costly if we get relegated that's for sure. We need to stay in the Championship, if that costs, then so be it.....
Maybe Owen Coyle will send some Bolton players here considering he's been talking about McInnes joining us a lot
Apparently he contacted Steve Lansdown about him before Coppout was appointed and he's been on SL's radar ever since and there was never a fall out with Sexstone about Mark Robins,Delboy was everybodies first choice.... http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2491237,00.html
That's as maybe Wize but WTF didn't they approach him when Copout walked away. Things might look a little rosier today if that had happened.
Dead right,I've just been reading that Cisse told Millen he wasn't up to management and that's why Millen wouldn't play him, crazy, personal feelings coming before selection of the team, makes you wonder what else was going on...
I'd say I was surprised but I'm not. I also have it on good authority that there was a lot of drinking and high spirits going on aboard the team coach on the way home from Blackpool which Millen was part of. A very strange and unproffessional thing to do after a 5-0 humiliation.
WIZ you ought to start a sticky called rumour of the day, then sub divide it into .... hearsay... codswallop... misunderstood and... good authority in the fifth order.........lol
Some of us do have good info John, when I was a "young-un", our milkman was one of the bouncers at Platform One, the players favourite haunt in the 70's and he used to tell my Dad all the tasty gossip which I listened to as well but of course, this was second hand info (but true)... Later, I used to get in the players bar after the game thanks to a good friend who was well in with the players. I helped carry a certain member of the current coaching staff out of the Mauretania on a Saturday night on more than one occasion and I was in the bar after the last ever derby at Trumpton (4-2) when an unnamed (non playing) individual decided to take on 5 Rovers fans in a Jag in the car park long after most had gone home with Joe Jordan watching on "fiesty little bugger" was his comment which I know because I was talking to and stood next to him. This is first hand stuff, not word of mouth and there is plenty more...
Is it just me...? DM is saying exactly the same things as Millen was - and even Coppout before he left. We all know the squad isn't balanced. Millen made no progress at all in sorting it - in fact it's got worse. He claimed his hands were tied - if things haven't changed we are in serious trouble. If DM reckons we need experience and a consistent back 4 then given what's available it sounds like..... ..............DJ Carey Stewart Fonts Jamie Mac These are probably our most experienced defenders. Do we have any confidence this would be good enough (assuming injuries are avoided which is unlikely given their track records)
look forward to hearing it Prem... unfortunately most of my juicy bits are subject to OSA R-UN I ve actually given an answer to this in the past couple of days on another thread
yes but 2 are injured so unless he gets some free transfers or loans then we have make do with a fairly young defence
