I'm shocked, not because I didn't want it to happen but because we normally start feeling this way about managers and it takes months for them to finally get the boot.

All of the things said on here are absolutely spot on with regard to the recruitment strategy and the coaching set up and now it seems that KLD, Speakman etc are very decisive and know, like we do that we absolutely can not just hope we get over the line with LJ in charge.

I know the previous years of manager merry go round have been worrying but I really feel that in the past they have been out of desperation and last resorts. This feels different to me, it feels like we have people above who care and who won't accept failure. LJ has had plenty of failure:

Playoff loss last season (not even the final)
Multiple drubbings this season
Draws against 10 men
And multiple yellow and even red cards

He talks well but has no consistency and the decision to change to a back 4 yesterday is baffling.

Thanks for the Wembley win and the obvious effort but I'm glad you are gone.

Yeh Paul Terry has a dual role as loan manager and a scout at West Brom. Possibly here watching Neil

Been hearing a rumour big Duncan Ferguson is interested, doesn’t want to do a coaching role alongside Lampard. Rumour even says he’s been in the region …

I understand that there was some political issues at the club between the board, management and players as mentioned previously. Johnson didn't want Defoe but I believe that the board did. Hearing other issues between players and manager but I didn't think he would be sacked...I expected him to see the season out what ever happend. Hearing the players played there part in his departure.

Hate the idea of player power deciding the fate of a manager

Where did Speakman fit into all that?

I'm not convinced otherwise player power, I would be more of the opinion the players have been sounded out as the club were considering getting rid anyway. More just the confirmation the club needed it was time for him to go?
