my first game since Barnsley last season. Apart from the journey being longer due to diversions and sharing the train with totally smashed scrumpy drinking Yeovil fans, what a game to come back to
Wow what can I say about that… don’t you just love our club! I must be honest and say I was nervous about this game and needed to be reassured by Watford prior to the game. I know Reading are S##t but they always seem to have their good game against us and players like Swift seem to turn into Cruyff… you know what I mean. They even started quite well but collapsed quicker than one of those demolition chimneys after the first goal. After that it was all Rangers and I even saw some fab showboating. Reading looked as clueless as their manager. That Pucas player cost them £7m… looks more like a £7 player. No wonder they got done for breaching FFP. And worst for Reading… they can’t even sack the manger due to agreeing something with the EFL and FFP. I couldn’t believe we were 3-0 up at half time and some fella said the last 3-0 half time at Rangers was 1974. I don’t know if that’s true or not. Second half we coast the game and other than a shot over the bar and one attack that should have resulted in a goal, Reading were well beat by a better team. Both clubs are going in different directions. Did anyone else see how embarrassing their fans were? At the end of the game a young sub who put more effort in than the whole team went over and clapped the fans only to get a tirade of abuse. Spoilt brats. It was also funny to see the usual 16 year old Danny Dyers trying to give it large. One in particular was very vocal to our fans and walked over the mass of empty seats to our fans. Only problem was he was about 3ft high. He got so much stick about his height. Followed by the Charlie Austin crying impression by many QPR fans around us. He then started on another Reading fan… handbags at 20 feet and he didn’t punch the fellow fan he slapped, I mean slapped him. I then think he may have been ejected. After the game it was The White Horse…. Which by the way has a new door on the toilet. A few beers with some Irish R’s and train home seeing many upset brats only to hear “4-0 on your big day out” . Only thing that disappointed me was not getting 7 goals. You R’s
That’s an amazingly high definition photo. Love the Reading player crawling on his knees in the background. This one’s just as good.
I was thinking about not chipping in because there's still 30-odd hours of the transfer window left but... those who were confused by a very good team performance into thinking that Chris Willock was not MOTM yet again need to get a grip. He simply oozed class again yesterday despite another first half kicking and added another couple of assists to his ever growing list. The likes of Watford, Norwich and Palace must surely be watching on and a late move for him seems likely IMO. Still, that negative thought aside, it is a rare privilege to watch a young player grow into being a real star as we have done in the last 18 months or so.
Tbh, I was nervous about this one too which is why my score in tour predictor was so low, But I will take being that far off the mark for every match gladly, if that is what it takes to get us a 4-0 result. Were it only so easy
Looks like it's a two-horse race for the final relegation place. Fakes and Peterborough. Wednesday 9/2: Baardiff - Peterborough. Can't see how Peterborourgh is going to be too keen on a tough match against us just a few days before!!!
I just watched a 10 minute highlights program of the game and the commentator said we’d only lost 2 league games since the week before hallowe’en. I knew our current run was good but I hadn’t realised it was that good
