They are indeed two facts but Lee Johnson is in no way qualified to link them together in any form of correlation. Doing so is irresponsible given the lunacy that's rife in the world. There are other facts too.
Surely the problems have occurred since COVID arrived, so unless you can confirm that those affected with heart problems have not actually had covid and that they have had the vacines there is no way to prove which has caused it
There seems to be a lot outside of football and sport in general who have had heart attacks/died too. There's 80 thousand unvaccinated NHS workers too, most aren't anti vaxers, I'm not an anti vaxer either mate. As for statistics quoted as to the effectiveness of the vaccine and so called "experts", (and I'm not going to quote everyone as I can't be arsed) It's a well known fact that death tolls were fudged with many many people dying of other causes yet marked down as Covid hence bumping up the numbers. As for experts, most who don't want the vaccine aren't experts the same as most who do, the point is it should be a choice. But everyone is getting their human rights stripped now and the pitchfork brigade are building in numbers, quick to point out their masters bidding and alienate anyone who doesn't conform Yes there's a killer virus at loose but it should be EVERYONE'S right to question and debate without ridicule and enforcement, we're not China or Russia yet, but we're getting there. One things for sure, there's a lot of rich bastards got a whole lot richer over this, including them tory bastards with fingers in the pies that took no notice whatsoever of the rules they inforced
I agree. Whether he likes it or not, he is a Public Figure and whatever he says can a will be manipulated. At a time when the 'Conspiricy Theorists' are, apparently' flooding Social Media with all sorts of inaccurate rubbish ANYONE in his position needs to take care. His guiding principal should be that when speaking in Public, he should confine himself to what he knows about. Leave speculation to the Journalists. Were I advising him I would refer him to a quote from Mark Twain, -- It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
Not at all sure of the relavence but I am aware that, for as long as I can remember, highly trained athletes seem to suffer much more than the rest of us, from a number of health issues. Delicat machinery perhaps? Rather like very expensive F1 cars breaking down inside a 200 mile race. Is there any connection to the more finely tuned body being more at risk from Covid OR the vaccine? And IF there is which is the greater risk, the illness or the 'cure'. Obviously I don't know the answer, nor have I even any remote exertise in the matter. I only know what the experts who ARE qualified to hold a view tell me. And as far as I know, none of these experts Manage Football Teams for a living.
There's one bloke I would love to see banned from the pre and post match pressers.....Lee Johnson. An absolute grade A bullshitter
There are studies knocking about suggesting an increased risk of heart issues with both COVID and the vaccine. It's only controversial saying it because of the politically motivated suppression of any information that the vaccine isn't the perfect and only defence.
Steven Novella, MD (an academic clinical neurologist at the Yale University School of Medicine). summing up of a study :- The science regarding the mRNA vaccines and myocarditis is reassuring – this is a rare and mild side effect. Meanwhile, COVID is a potentially deadly disease, and is far more likely to produce myocarditis as a side effect that the vaccines that prevent COVID. But of course it takes a lot less mental energy to watch a video online and react with fear, than to wade through the scientific evidence and make an informed risk vs benefit assessment.
But the risk is far less and not as serious as with covid. The average is 12.6 per million with the vaccine and for those unvaccinated with covid the risk is 15 times more likely and will suffer a more serious form of myocardittis
And while you were quite right, you neglected to give the full illustration. Something along these lines would have been more accurate and, I believe, upset only the Conspiricy Theorists.--- As I understand it, the risk from the vaccine is tiny, whereas the risk from Covis is severe
As I recall, right from the start, over two years ago, the experts have been reminding us that NO Vaccine has ever been 100% effective. We have been told recently, for example of a TV journalist who died, where it is believed that the Vaccine was the cause. When I got my first Jab, I understood that it was about 95% effective. But 95% cover is a lot better than 0% cover in my opinion.
I think the thread was created because Simon Bird said on Twitter that LJ said the vaccine caused it Which he did not say
