Excellent win, 3 more big points, clean sheet again, no injuries as far as I could see , goals for Dykes' confidence, new boy on as sub for experience and plenty of happy fans ! Well done to all who attended today. U rrrrrrr'sssssss
We're breathing down the neck of Bournemouth and Blackburn. Hope Wee Scotty Parker has a sleepless night. Urrrrrssss
Reading were awful, but we were superb at times. An excellent all-round performance. I thought the ref was good too.
Celebrate tonight but for me this weekend is only half over as my country have to play the feared Yanks tomorrow. Wouldn't mind a 4 - nil Canada win to match the R's today
Lol , not unhappy ffs obviously. Just would've liked maximum demoralisation of Reading and more goals to boost our goal difference. You never know it could come down to goal difference for 2nd spot !
They were truly awful apparently and if Barnsley had any confidence at all they would've got at least a point. Shame
Very satisfying win against poor opposition, but as Strolls says we played some nice football today. Johansen, never really put under any pressure, was very good, lots of quick, positive passing. Willock really is turning into something special, you feel your pulse speed up when he gets the ball. Field as always a rock, back three especially Dunne solid, Albert himself, Amos full of running. Substitutions were a bit random and came when we were very comfortable. Sanderson looked fine, perhaps a bit overexcited, Thomas can run but can’t control the ball, really no point putting Austin on unless it was to give Dykes a rest. We lost momentum with the changes, but who cares. Unbelievable that they had Danny Drinkwater, a PL winner and Chelsea big signing. He was shocking, looks like he’s taking the piss. A nice afternoon in town.
Great to be there watching us steam roll the Fakes, apart from a dodgy first 8 min or so we was superb after that, good all round display, and 2nd half up sits Kevin Gallen & his boy next to me, shook hands & wished him well, Result
I don't think Seny is going to walk straight back into the side. Three clean sheets for Marshall in four appearances and playing well. The only goal he's let in was the unstoppable thunderbolt v Coventry. Good competition all over the pitch now.
