oh you are so very misinformed. We have enough depth in attack to keep firing on all cylinders for the rest of the season. Since this is our strength and what we generally hang our hat on, I don't see how we're lacking depth. I guess I just found a reason to envy you though, we're a bit lacking in the central midfield department - I'm not convinced we'd fair so well if Howson or Clayton were to get injured for a long time. At least you have about 400 central mids, although not much else . Explain to me again how you have more depth than us? You're extremely lacking up front so I don't see how you're in any better a position in terms of squad depth than us.
All I've seen from him so far has been questionable. I'm not about to claim we have depth in midfield on the basis of a player who I haven't been convinced by yet. As for our depth in attack... we have Becchio and Nunez waiting in the wings eager to get some game time. I keep forgetting we have Davide Somma coming back from Injury in 3 months as well, imagine him up front with Andy Keogh...
Beckford and Nugent..lacking upfront? They just need to hit it off and we'll be fine. They've still hardly played together. We also have Vassell, Howard, and the great prospect of Schlupp also. If we're lacking anywhere, as pointing out by others, it is with wide players. Can't see what else is needed to be honest. You may have a larger squad that others, but don't see much depth in quality. Mid-table Championship quality at best. Although at least you have the like of Billy Paynter to fall back on.
Billy Paynter is about 7th in the pecking order. I'd say even behind the long term injured Davide Somma. He won't play for us again. We have the likes of Nunez, Sam and Becchio waiting on the sidelines for attacking threats and, according to my fellows, Vayrynen is showing some promise. Forsell is ****e though. As for you, Beckford and Nugent, great. Those are your first teamers, we're talking about depth here. About a team who were struggling for goals early season with those "strong" attackers you just mentioned. I'd also say our players are more flexible. McCormack can play on the wing (extremely well). Howson can play forward. Nunez can play up front or in the pocket or at a push on the wing. Sam can play either wing. We still have Davide Somma to come back from injury. We also have more than one system we can play depending on what players are available - so we are actually extremely flexible. Check it out, we've got Ross McCormack. Top scorer in the league who can't keep away from the back of the net, and he's still a better winger than anyone you've got. We just have so much more attacking quality than you.
We shall see. Only time will provide answers. On-paper comparisons mean nothing, and I really don't have the interest in Leeds to be able to compare the quality of our squads. I just know if we were linked with any of your players, I won't be too excited. And Becchio is a t***.
i seriously dont think leicester can argue they have better attacking quality. You didnt even mention Snodgrass whos arguably our best player. I think we have very good strength in depth upfront. We have players who we can fall back on for CM but not ideal to play too big apart in the season. And for leicester fans to say nugent is good.... well.... i wont even go there. Vassell is **** and Howard can only score when playing against leeds. I definitely think leicester are better at the back but not better going forward. Our 3rd, 4th or even 5th (davide somma when fit) choice strikers would probably walk into leicester's team
