Great news, Bosingwa only misses the Carling Cup game for Everton and therefore will play against Arsenal on Saturday.

I had thought he had a 3 match game so brilliant news.

    Team for Wednesday??

    Hilario

    Ivan
    Alex
    Luiz
    Bertrand

    Oriol
    Josh
    Meireles

    Anelka
    Lukaku
    Malouda

Great news? It's awful news, was hoping for Ivanovic-Alex-Terry vs Arsenal saturday, Arsenals main game is speed and bosingwa really will be out of his depth mate and so will Luiz, we need two big powerful players ( Alex and Brana ) for this game. I reckon team for wednesday will be - Turnbull, Ferrerira, Alex, Luiz, Bertrand, Oriol,Josh,Malouda,Lukaku,Kalou,Drogba or 4-4-2 with a midfielder instead of Kalou, i think drogba will play Becaue he has a 3 game ban and AVB will want to cram some games in for him

Bosingwa has been the best right back in the league this season (maybe except for Richards). I have no worries about Arsenal's attack, their defence has been shambolic this season and with the talent we've got up top we should be exploiting that by using Bosingwa to his strengths. We are lucky that we have two brilliant right backs! Ivan and Terry in the center as it would've been Luiz if Bosingwa was out.

Won't Drog be out Wednesday as well after his red? I wouldn't be too surprised, and would actually be rather happy, to see Lukaku get time up front so Torres is ready for Arsenal.

Yeah, he was the only one with a 3 match ban.

We are also lucky the ref blew up when he did on Sunday, didn't see at the time but watching the game again I saw Cole produce a cruncher on Barton right at the end just after the whistle, it would've been curtains for him and out for the Arse game <yikes>

Mind you it would have been worth it knowing you'd creamed the pikey. :)

<laugh> Berkton got up looking like he was going to do something about it, the referee blew up and he changed his mind. I would've loved to have seen what would have happened if it was 10 seconds earlier!

You take Ash lightly at your peril as he'll probably shoot you given half a chance. <laugh>

If you watch the incident again you can clearly see Luiz give him nothing more than a nudge. He realises he has nowhere to go and about a second and a half later decides to dive aka sniper in the crowd. What the referee should have been asking himself is this; Was the nudge enough to make a man around 75kg go flying through space? Did he dive to gain an advantage because of his position was tactically bad? Personally I thought it warranted a booking for simulation.

I know, it's tragic. I know Drogba wasn't exactly an angel but surely he was a better actor than that bellend?!!
Football is supposed to be a contact sport <doh> shame really.

If those idiots on the QPR threads had that sort of treatment at our hands they would be spitting nails. I think the boys gave a good account of themselves after being attacked by the mindless cretins.

Yes, I'm certainly proud of AVB for commenting on it.

Like you said, if the whole game was in reverse i.e. we won 1-0 from that penalty, they had that many yellow, two reds, penalty turned down, mutilated us with 9 men - they would've turned a dark shade of puce and said the same things as we had.
