they don’t concede and we do, they don’t score much and we do. Spect it will be tight. I’ll optimistically go for 1-0.

Tactically I reckon KM will go to a 4 at the back as they play with one striker so no need for 3 plus I have a feeling he’s a 433 man in an ideal world given the way the teams he coached played.

    I’m hoping to see

    Walton
    JD, fridge, wolf Penney
    Morsy, evans, new bloke
    Chaplin, burns, bonne (or nogood)

Please not Burns, please not Evans but even more please not Penney. I would go with KVY as left wing back. Aluko is a must. Would be good to see more of Chaplin.

Gotta be 2-1 home win, packed crowd, big atmosphere.

Gotta keep Aluko, and I also would play Burns. New bloke to come on 2nd half. I will be joining my Dutch pals in Amsterdam!

He’s been awful lately. He needs a rocket up him. To be fair he’s a winger or attacking midfielder and he’s being asked to play wing back. He is an atrocious defender.

Edmundson’s nickname. Presumably because he’s got a cool head or something. Or maybe Boris Johnson likes to hide it in him.

Aluko is interesting to me. He’s def Mr popular and he’s been ok but he’s hardly a Cole Stockton…

He’s got what; a Couple of goals? Couple of assists? Some nice possession and clever passes. I don’t get why he’s being deified by a lot of fans; perhaps because we al thought he was a total waste of time and he’s proven quite useful after all?

for me Chaplin has outperformed him by a long chalk in terms of goals, assists and hence I’d pick him esp now we have a more direct player in midfield with New Bloke.

If Aluko was playing with better players around him he’d be absolutely tearing it up. He’s the single player in the side who never wastes the ball. Either he’ll keep possession or he’ll have a go and try to conjure something. No doubt he can improve but he’d be one of just a handful of players who would be on the team sheet for me before making any choices.

The others are Walton, Donacien, Woolfy and Morsy.

Chaplin would most likely be my next pick after that in a CAM or CF role.

If we’re playing a 3-5-2 it’s crying out for us to play two in central midfield being Morsy alongside one other and Chaplin behind the strikers.

The left hand side though is a real problem area for us.

I really think we need to sign a CB, left sided player/s (at least a left wing back) and some pace up front.

He’s def great at keeping and using possession well. Better than Chaplin. Perhaps if new bloke can break the lines and score a couple too from midfield Aluko is the ideal link to the strikers.

What’s persuaded you that Walton is a nailed on starter? You were dead against signing him and felt we had adequate players in that position already here.

He’s a great shot stopper for this level, a brilliant command of his area and now that we’re playing out from the back his abysmal kicking doesn’t matter so much. Not to say his kicking isn’t being worked on anyway.

Not the line up I would have gone for but good to see Penney dropped and Chaplin get a chance.
