Bob throughout history every politician has lied or bent the truth.
When I voted Tory at the last election it was because I wanted my local MP rather than the other freak who broke his manifesto promise, defected to the libs and wanted a second referendum…. Yes you got it, taking away my only voice ( my vote). I vote on a local level.

I knew Boris was popular and he had a way about him that won votes. No other politician would have done what Boris did. Boris like all leaders has flaws. Although very intelligent he lacks detail and rules… that’s Boris. You get what’s on the tin.
Agree he was stupid/ disrespectful/ utter twat, however I don’t believe he did this out of malice, If he had known what the consequences would be he wouldn’t have done it.
Can I forgive him? Yes, if he stops messing about and gets things done people will move on.
So please don’t play the integrity card if you think Labour are any better, just ask Keith Vaz, Barry Gardiner or the countless others.
Shall i take that as a yes or a no?

If you can’t be bothered to read a response, don’t ask a question. It’s quit disrespectful. I read your continuous drivel, although like a Mills and Bloom book… you read one, you’ve read them all.

@ELLERS you'll be pleased to know i met up with a friend who is quite into politics on Tuesday.

He's a smart guy and left leaning having grown up working class. He is the sort of person who thinks politicians are smart (anyone who gets into politics) and even if they sound dumb, they are smarter than you think (we had a debate about dianne abbott). Anyway, long story short, even though he would vote against tory tactically, he thinks starmer is terrible. No charisma, zero charm, very boring. I was like, is that just how the media have spun it and he says no, he's watched his interviews, what he has said and he's bland and boring. His biggest critic of the current labour incarnation is that they stand for absolutely nothing and don't do any opposing.

Thought that would please you anyway

I agree. Snp will walk scotland. The tories are sniping at each other. They might aswell move out

The SNP aren't as popular as you may think at the moment....they've gone very quiet on the IndyRef2 stuff because polls are showing the support for it has waned. They'll start banging their drums if they think they've got a chance, but Sturgeon isn't stupid - they won't go for IndyRef2 until they are absolutely certain they'll win. For all the bullshit that's gone on during the pandemic, I think it's fair to say that Scotland would've struggled if we'd been independant - and she know's that now is not the time.

There's a lot of **** still floating around after the Salmond debacle too, plus issues with education, Scottish NHS, policing, drug use and deaths, poverty, they have all declined whilst the SNP have been in power. They've been aided by some pretty piss-poor opposition since Davison quit and it's not looking much better now with ****y part-time ref Douglas Ross "leading" the Tories and Anas Sarwar doing his bit for Labour - **** knows who the LibDem one is, although maybe it's Jo Swinson come back in after Rennie quit. Either way, the issue for most voters up here is the alignment of the Scottish parties with Westminster - so seeing Corbyn or Johnson out canvassing puts Scottish voters off both Labour and Conservative, so what other option do you have? I have no particular love for Sturgeon or the SNP, but the one thing they do do, is stand up to Westminster for the good of their local constituants instead of cow-towing to the whip of the big parties.

At the end of the day, politicians are all just trough snuffling ****s - put them all against the wall I say!

My stepfather said it very well yesterday to me, hes voted conservative for over 60 years but he says this current lot is not the conservative party. He was a thatcher fan aswell the silly sod but reckons she would be turning in her grave at Johnson and his pretenders

Bob your stepfather seems like a sensible man to me

Good post, like i say, my clan are 50/50 on indyref2. One thing they are all clear on (and its a big ****ing clan the macdonalds) is that they despise Boris Johnson and the Tories. Some vote labour but only a handful. The rest are totally dissalusioned with Westminster and totally disconnected.

Yes and no
Firstly thanks for sharing.
Yes I know he is boring and doesn’t having any killer blows.
No, because whatever I think about the Tories, we need a strong opposition to keep them in check. Boris gets more opposition from within his own party. :emoticon-0148-yes:
