Well since you asked, I believe the whole world overreacted.
Out of all the world’s experts and scientists, only one side was listened to.

If your of an age where you can afford to gamble with your health so be it

Who decided to record deaths of covid using the uk criteria of if you tested positive and died within 60 days then you died of covid
That's the problem right there. But for a real disease i will see your covid and raise you the black death.

The chart showing percentage chance of dying, even though way out of date, gives you an idea of the tiny risk this virus poses to otherwise healthy people. Before you jump up and down, yes, many otherwise healthy people have died but,
If you're generally fit, not overweight and healthy, this virus is just one of many things that can kill you. It ranks right up there with falling off a horse and way behind a road traffic accident.
If you are in a vulnerable group then it's fantastic that we have a vaccine because it substantially lowers your chances of dying.
That is a very good thing and, if we'd had it earlier, a lot of nursing home deaths could have been avoided.
If you're overweight Covid is only one of the many things that could kill you.
Kids have a tiny, even minuscule, risk of serious illness so don't need a vaccine unless they're in a vulnerable group.
That's not a conspiracy theory, the CDC have said it and it's been proved the world over..... By experts.
