It likely makes her current position untenable, despite this happening before she took the office. The only thing that might save her is council HR running scared of it lol, as they’re generally extremely risk averse.

At least it's being looked at, so it gives me a bit more confidence in the system. I was worried nothing was going to come of it, but at least it's shown to be looked at.

I'm hoping in the review that is being done of the parties, especially the one with the 50-100 guests, that they list who was on the guest list and who attended. I'm not interested in minions as Piskie calls them, but anyone that is of professional capacity serving the public, should be named. As I'd like to know what they didn't understand about the rules as well. Fooking drag them all in, let's get some integrity back.

Anyway, that was entertaining.

Back to the Tax return ...
Yeah same, I’ll be back on later ****ing fuming no doubt, after I hit calculate. I might have to ask brb to ban some **** to ease my hurtin’ <laugh>

I'm ploughing through it slowly. Finding all sorts of things to distract myself with. I think the Dog needs to go for a walk in a bit too lol.

brb has already mentioned Cornwall, my £3k bike, my car that I broke all rules to buy, so some other **** can suffer his wrath later <laugh>

It’s obvs that he helped create a drinking culture within No.10, which is a working office. Most employers would sack you for having drinks parties on works premises irrespective of the circumstances, having them during a lockdown created by that very office is unforgivable. Him clinging on is desperate, but sums up the man’s entire life, he’s never taken responsibility for anything, ever, he thinks rules are for others, not him.
i was a civil servant for most of my working life i can assure you no works meeting i attended ever had bottles of wine being passed around

unfortunately

Mind you these parties do explain some of the weird guidelines since they were being written by people on the lash :bandit:

That was the case Inspector Clouseau <laugh>

But I watch loads of it tbh. BBC News, Iplayer, MOTD etc.

I actually think the BBC offer pretty good value for money, given the content they produce.

I watch BBC 2 or BBC 4 and the cableTV stuff like History Channel etc plus Sky Sports

The main issue have with the BBC is the increasing woke awareness to the detriment of real inclusion it appears to be a glorified box ticking exercise

The second issue is the amount they pay Gary Bellend to host MOTD, he takes the mickey out of most of the teams and his co presenters and we are meant to think it is just good banter

I just tend to use BBC for the news, but I use iPlayer for various things and MOTD. I probably should use it more given that I pay for it, but @brb can take comfort in the fact that I'm probably subsidising his viewing of Strictly come dancing and Casualty <laugh>

I don't really get the 'woke BBC' argument. Is that about them being inclusive and trying to be aware of unconscious bias or promoting anti discriminatory practice ? Because that to me seems to fit their remit of being an impartial broadcaster. Maybe you can give me some examples of what you mean by the detriment of real inclusion ?

As for Linaker. He's a bit of a nob, but he's also part of the furniture when it comes to MOTD. If anybody needs the boot from that programme, it's the sarcastic, morose, cynical and dour bore Mark Lawrenson.

Not just the BBC but ITV etc aswell in general are so desperate to be inclusive that they just tick boxes, the soap operas are the worst I dont even take a passing look now the plots are just too ridiculous
