Look I don't know what everton need to do financially but it does appear that they need an attitude reset.

Nothing to do with local rivalry either. They sort of remind me of villa fans before they got relegated, a lot of grumbling, nothing ever good enough or right and a general lack of support for the team.

At the end there villa were rubbish but better away from home than at home due to the pressure on players.

Were we much different in 2015? Who knows

Something has to change there, one some level fundamentally clubs are either on the up or on the slide and everton are on a long slow slide at the moment.

A club like Brighton really shows what can be done. No need for big names or false names to manage a club, just good consistent decision making.

Brighton are a great example of a well run club (although their recruitment is a bit meh) but they have a massive difference that most clubs don’t which is the owners is a Brighton fan who loves the club so will always do best by them. Compared to some random person who buys the club as a status thing without any understanding of football let alone the club they’ve just brought.

Reckon it’s the fans fault? They’re the only ones that have been there all the time they’ve been **** :bandit:
If you made a list of all the things it could possibly be, chairman, owner, CEO, fans, one first team coach ( who appears to be unsackable) ...... you would be correct in laying blame at all their doors.

He was apparently told the banks were not willing to lend any more money so you have to wonder at what point it's about that bit of professionalism as well nd not just trying hard.

Everton have had the better youths over us in terms of volume for sure, but you have to wonder about mindset as well.

All true.

I was drawing attention to Bisc's observation about Brighton's owner being a fan and only wanting and doing the best for the club. By that principle Everton (under Kenwright) should be in a better place but It's actually been their downfall.

Maybe because Bloom has money so can invest as well. Where as Kenright has none and hasn’t wanted others to get involved for the good of the club

Moshiri , who is deffo rich , is basically the owner of Everton and has pumped loads of money in but a huge amount of it has been wasted on transfer fees and wages hence there predicament this season as the PL warned them that they were going to be charged for an FFP breach unless theyreined it in hence this seasons bargain bucket signings .

If City win their game in hand, they’ll be 15 points clear of Chelsea. In January! So much for Chelsea being flat track bullies…..mito :bandit:
Chelsea were goners after their last game.
We could get to within 5 points on our own merit, so with such a long way to go I would never give up completely - but it really does look inevitable, and has done for a while.

Just a shame we threw two points away v Chelsea and we really really did throw them away.

Chelsea are not complete done and looking at cl and securing 4th, winning league cup and replacing tuchel as manager.

We all know abramovich lol

Mourinho being linked with Everton <laugh>

That would be a fun watch when he has no money to spend because of ffp
