Luke is my 9yr old granddaughters favourite player and was buzzing recently when she got her photograph taken at a recent game outside the SOL.
My youngest son decided to get her a cushion with his face on one side and his name and number 13 on the other.
We knew how excited she would be opening it so my son recorded it and her face lit up, quickly followed by tears. Her favourite present of her favourite player.
My youngest son put the video on Instagram, where Luke saw it and replied "This is so cute, Merry Xmas".
This was fantastic of Luke to do but better was to follow when he contacted my daughter in law and asked for their address so he can send her a signed shirt of his.
Brilliant Luke, thank you so much.

That's a great thing to read mate. Really nice gesture from Luke and if your granddaughter was so happy with a cushion of his face I can only imagine her reaction when she gets a gift like that from the player himself.

For all his limitations his work outside of playing is tremendous, I remember when he first came he would sit and watch the kids play and interact with them, for me this is how a model professional should be, lovely gesture from him to the bairn and it means so much for our future young supporters, take a bow Luke son <applause><applause>

A fantastic gesture from a fantastic person. He clearly has good moral standards and appreciates the 'gift' he's been given. He clearly loves his career and everything about our club and has done everything he can from day one to bond with the fans.

    Well done Luke lad!

Classy gesture. Good honest pro. Hope he gets back fit soon and is back being that annoying ****house that oppositions fans hate but you love them when playing for your own team.

Great to see him on the comeback trail. Inspirational character, on and off the field.

Be interested to see where he fits into the team. I think we can all agree that he isn't a central midfielder

Not too sure about that mate, for me he has all the attributes, he just needs to calm down a bit .

Agreed, unfortunately for him, we turned him into an odd job man with the various positions we asked him to play, and I think it did his career no good. We're currently doing the same with Gooch, and he's become an odd job man, again it's made him go backwards. Not fussed if we move both of them on, but I think both will now become journeymen. It's a shame really.

Brilliant. For me he's the perfect substitute. And I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I'd trust him to come on and do whatever job was needed in whatever position was needed.

It depends on what we do in the window and Evans' fitness whether he's a starter or gives us versatility off the bench, but I doubt we've seen the last of him in midfield nor should we have.

I see Wolves have recalled Sanderson with a view to loaning him out again? i would not mind seeing him back with O/9 again, they looked far too good for this league imo, if only we hadn't blown it last year, that was a distinct possibility then, on the other hand before we all write O/9 off as a midfield holding player, who has done better than him this season in that position ?

Don't think anyone has mate, I'd expect Evans to have if he'd played a lot of games but unfortunately that's not happened. Don't currently have many midfielders willing to put their foot in and it's costing us a bit.

Got a lot of stick...unnecessarily imo as it was obvious his shoulder was restricting him.

Be great to get him back sooner rather than later. He is just the sort of player we needed last few games. He smells danger and doesnt mind taking one for the team. I thought when Wycome equalised ONien would have found a way to disrupt, and for their second. I'd be pretty sure his best position is holding midfield given a run.
