Its not so much who we are missing. I think we are playing more expansive football which is allowing us to be caught out through the middle. The new guys are footballers not hoofers or hard in the tackle and that is causing issues between midfield and defence. Tighten up throughout the team with everyone contributing to the defensive cause and I dont think we are to far away
Seen guys like you in thailand when i was on exercise, they only go for the she males, right up your alley that eh gob ****e.
Seen guys like you in Amsterdam sitting in windows, glad to see you make enough to use the internet cafe
Getting back to the original question, IMHO it would be Catts. If you analyse all the games he's missed they have all been very open games but we've not had anyone with any bite in midfield who can break up the oppositions play thus putting our defense under pressure more than necessary. I agree Turner adds that bit extra at the back, certainly missed his height but if you are not winning the midfield battles then your under presseure at the back. I think we missed Wellbeck initially but now that we have Sessegnon in the team and with Ricco's contributions then i don't think he's been that much of a miss lately. Who would you drop to accomodate him when fit? TBH i'd struggle to drop any of our forward 3 on recent performances.
defo cats for me lads. although big chris has a point over the henderson comment!.while he has been playing,he certainly aint turned up in the last 3 games.same with the gordon comment!
I think Catts, we've missed his presence in midfield. Though he would definitely have been sent off in the Spurs game! That said, we need all three back urgently. Hopefully only a couple more games now, we should hopefully do alright. As I've said before, anywhere in the top 10 and I'll be a very happy Sunderland supporter.
Tough question to single out one to turn things around, but if I could only have one of them back for the next game I'd have to say Turner.
I would probably say Turner...However, if Gordon keeps on with his bad run of form it may be worth giving him a rest and putting Mignolet back in...
Mig is a good prospect, but that is all at the minute. He is worse on crosses than Gordon - and I don't think that is Gordon's fault either. Mensah is a beautiful player at centre half but need a big bruiser beside him to do the dirty work. Jack Charlton and Bobby Moore springs to mind. BUT whilst Titus is a bruiser, is there anyone out there that thinks like me that a) he is an accident waiting to happen and that b) he cant jump without a run first? Sorry I've rambled. Its not Gordon to blame, he doesn't need a rest. He needs confidence and protection from a strong centre half.
**** me i put something new on and what two ****ing nuggets do i get the first replies of, two helmets with inferiority complex hard to win against these two, both first class tossers, and realy thick skinned, but your thread,,,,,, agree with Vauxsamson, he got it on the nail.
Agree Vaux, but if I had to chose one for me it would be Catts, but I think we are missing all three. Be interesting though when the new guys setttle in to see where Welbeck will be and if we miss him as much
