The new owners need to forget signing donkeys Howe's recommendingand buy good young players for a promotion push.

Get them in now and get rid of shelvey lacelles and Fraser because they aren't even good enough for the championship.

Ive said for about 5 seasons now we need a defensive midfielder. There is a reason sides have them. Hayden isn’t even a midfielder in my opinion. Certainly not at this level. Shelvey is supposed to be your ball player. But modern ball players run. If you put say Cantwell and Willock either side of a defensive midfielder, you’d have a bit of everything. It’s not rocket science so Hammond and co need to get their finger out. I think you said something earlier ive said for ages, two central midfielders would change this team massively. Let’s stop asking why ASM is chasing everything down and why we aren’t getting him in good areas to hurt teams. The central midfield is the single most part of a football team in terms of functionality. It really is that simple. Since Cabaye and Tiote we’ve had Merino and that is all. It’s pathetic.

There's nothing we can do.. Every fan with his eyes on straight knows we need cms, but every manager we get thinks shelvey is the answer.

Mark my words Howe's taking us down with a whimper.. He's flat.

We are being linked with centre mids thankfully. Lots of them. It’s not a case of needing world beaters, we can’t get them. Let’s just get two MODERN ones in and have a ****ing go.

Mate we're down.. They need to build a side for a promotion push... They're going to spunk money on cloggers Howe wants.
Just buy good young players and get a complete rebuild underway...

Buy the best championship players

It we buy cloggers then the owners have ****ed it up. I don’t have an opinion on Hammond, I don’t know anything about him. But they’ve gone that route because they think he has the know how.

I don’t mind a few older heads like Wood and Trippier. But we need legs. Young players bring that so we need a bit of that. We saw it with Willock and we also need some peak age players in the 24-27 yr old range. Guys who know their game inside out.

To be pointing out these things after Bobby literally left us with a blueprint for life is bewildering.

This is why we needed a proper DoF and not just let Howe pick his options.

Howe does not have a good track record of signings.

On a side note can anyone guess what position he played. I will give you a clue. Lascelles plays there.

It’s that simple really - yes you need to get the right guys but Hammond and Nickson just need to get their finger out and sort those positions pronto.

He doesn’t buy the players. We have to hope these links to the likes of DVDB, Kamara, Haidara, Fofana etc are for real and Hammond/Nickson are going to make something happen. If it does all is not lost for all I think we are on the brink.

They'll start that when they know.. They'll know the situation soon..
