Lovely ball in from Willock for Austin to get on the end of. Sweet. Very sweet. Couple of beers to celebrate both achievements on the way!
Lot of sullen Baggies fans on the train, debating why they haven’t sacked their manager and who they would get in…..Lampard , ‘missed out on Wilder’…..and that their team isn’t very good. I was grinning broadly behind my mask. Have to say they weren’t as direct as I was expecting but they really weren’t very threatening even when we decided to play like a timid away team for the first 30 minutes.…Phillips still playing like he used to, floating around pretty aimlessly except now he’s bulked up, Furlong provided great comedy when his long throw speciality went vertically, otherwise I’m not sure he’s improved at all since he was with us. Shame, I liked him, he had a great header on him, always thought he’d be better off at CB than FB. He’s certainly not a wing back. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t finish above WBA.
Clean sheet without Dieng. A win without Chair and Kakay. Especially in the second half that team played with some real character today and I wish I could have been at the stadium today
Just leaving Gatwick heading home. Up since 3am so exhausted but what a day. Fantastic win. Boiy has this particular team got character. Alll the defenders were brilliant. Willock is some player at this level. If we don't go up, he will definetely be snapped up. Great day.
Absolutely rocking. But the atmosphere had been building up all second half, as soon as we started to show some real intent going forward.
Terrible photo - looks like he's auditioning to be the public's favourite terrible celebrity dancer in the next Strictly
Glad you got to see a win with that level of commitment. As a far less committed soul I spent the afternoon on the golf course, following commentary on here for the last hour of my round. Sounds like it wasn't a cracker but those are the ones we need to win
