Sorry I didn’t complete. I was going to add that I agree with Fraser in that no one seems to be stepping up yet. Although I agree with you that Sunak will be the one.
It's not her as a person - I'm sure she'll do the best job she can - but she's been put in an impossible position. She's in the Cabinet Office, working for Johnson's government, and therefore not independent.
Ah so the process and how genuinely independent it will be, yes if she is handing it to those she’s reporting on it doesn’t sit right. If for instance the a team in the Met police were to do a report about the Met police then hand it over to Dick, would everyone be ok?
I can agree with that Col. Her aim, like any agent will be to try and infiltrate the highest office. She just used a useful idiot to get there. My argument was the usual idiots trying to deflect the story away from Labour by posting pictures of May and Cameron. More useful idiots.
She's independent. Civil Servants are not part of the Government. Regardless of which office she works in, she isn't in the government. I'm pretty sure her report will be made public and not just handed to Boris.
She reports to Boris Johnson. How can she be independent? Voices: Sue Gray ultimately reports to Boris Johnson – why is she investigating him? (msn.com)
She’s independent mate and I have now heard 2 different people say just that. Apparently she plays by the book and is renowned for it. Sadly the usual suspects are making unjust claims… unless of course the 2 people I heard are now on Boris’s pay roll?
Right the source here will instantly be dismissed by some people but if what he’s saying about the reporting line I’d share the concerns raised. As far as I can see the only way Johnson will be held to any real level of accountability is by Torys themselves who will all want damage limitation to the parties reputation. A further concern there is if you are ambitious and feel Johnson should be moved on, your decision as to what you say or do might be swayed due to the worry that if he stays on .. let’s face it you aren’t getting on the front bench anytime soon if you’ve been very critical. https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/boris-johnson-sue-gray-investigation-b1992264.html
I stated my stance on Gardiner as i dont agree with any corrupt activities or lies. We could have an inquiry into it if people choose, as that seems to be a preferential line to follow for some, then wait for the full facts. Maybe sue gray could do it pending no more parties...i mean work events . The pure hypocricy by one or one on here is absolutely crazy to the point of madness. Just have a set of values and morals and stick to them regardless of what party a certain person under investigation belongs to.
So what I’m getting at is the report itself can be as critical as you like, I’m still unsure what influence Johnson has over Gray’s position and potential for career advancement, but ultimately it will be the conservatives who will implement anything off the back of, and any actions would include… the leader of that party. He should get Cummings back he’s good at putting spin on anything, I’m sure he’d do a job on the findings.
