Don't think that goes live until the summer though. So I think our gazumping is trying to persuade Leipzig to sell now for bigger fee, and then try to persuade Haidara we will survive. Surely players would be more amenable if we said we'd either loan them to a top club should we go down, or give them a release clause for the exact fee we paid? I suppose the issue with the latter is we will be overpaying a la Wood.
Would rather just chuck £25m a piece at both Kamara and Fofana. paying the teams way more than they were expecting, making other clubs baulk at the offer and sweep them up.
I think we may be having to rethink our big targets. Its clear players don't want to come here which is understandable as we look hot favourites for the drop. I don't think we will see any of the likes of Haidara, Kamara etc. I just think money gets you so far, but players won't take risks the size we are asking.

To be fair the area's that he needs to address is everywhere. Out of them - striker was required this week and as much as I like the Trippier signing it certainly wasn't as high up the list as CB's and CM's.
