The youngsters of today are probably a lot worse off than when I was a teenager with the absolute crap that is regarded as social media which should be renamed imo I prefer to think that as you say we didn't think that much about it and enjoyed the times as they where in the innocence of youth.....as for goings on at the time does anyone think that today's celebs etc are any better, pull the other one
Harder to bury a story now due to social media, online news and changes in attitudes. Back in the day, celebs agent would have a word with the newspapers owner - run the story, no access to the celeb. Plus they'd try and get your job pulled. Sorting the facts is the tricky bit now, though luckily there are still some proper journos about.

Does anyone know the facts on the kiddie Andrew (allegedly) shagged? I keep reading she was 17 at the time and that was under age where it happened.

but the alleged places were London (not underage) New York (I thought they allowed it at 17, and the US Virgin (ha ha) islands.

The papers keep saying under age. Does as not e know s was by they say that? (Still pretty dodgy at his age even if legal, perhaps - but my interest is legality)

Depends on which state things occurred in. They have differing ages for stuff, hence there's a subtlety about 'trafficing' also including taking girls across state lines to places where they would be legal under that states laws.

Florida age of consent is 18 - I think that's where some of this comes from. Her current case is about sexual assault.

Legality aside 2020, from what I hear is that he is an obnoxious twat(ok I know you can't charge someone for that) but even Piers Morgan thought he was obnoxious and that's coming from Piers Morgan.:)

I think it's more the sex trafficking side.

A bit like Gary Glitter going to the far East where his actions were seen as more normal.

Also I believe in most states in America, if you're under 21, the person you have sex with can't be more than 10 years older than you, unless you're married but to get married you need your parents consent. Not sure of the technicalities but think it's something like that but varies from state to state

Isn't that what happened to Jerry Lee Lewis, he took his 'young' wife across state lines and got done for it, im sure I read that somewhere either way, it's just wrong.

If she had kept her mouth shut when arriving in England and not talked to a reporter, they might have got in and of out of the UK without hassle. There's a good film starring Dennis Quaid who plays Lewis in it. Great balls of fire is the name OLOF.<ok>

This is them leaving the UK in the film. Can't find a clip of her talking to the reporter.<ok>

Seen Mr Jerry live on two occasions and he could certainly play those ivories, without doubt one of the greats of rock n roll, not interested in his sexual taste as he no doubt wouldn't be in mine, went for his music and showmanship <ok>

If I correctly OS post a video of himself in the crowd at Wembley in the 70’s watching Jerry Lee Lewis. Could be wrong though.
I remember that post Forza, I'd actually seen a YouTube video of that gig, so went to it again to see if I could see him bopping to Bo Diddley in his Teddy boy gear,
I'm sure he said he had a pink Teddy boy suit on.<yikes>
Could have said green though :emoticon-0105-wink:
****ing love Bo Diddley guitar sound
