Price has nothing to do with rating. Though to answer the question:

    Rashford - Everton calibre baller.

Luke Shaw - one good season last year and Utd got the media believing he was the second coming.

Fernandes without penalties looks a little lost, good player but not the world class baller the media were trying to make him out to be.

De Gea also gets put on some mad pedestal.

The off-side player interfered with play <doh>

Don't worry mate, it wasn't against Spurs.

*the best poster, thank you very much. ;)

Ain’t lying though bro, those players I mentioned are overrated, surely you don’t disagree? If so, who with?

I honestly don't think they are overrated, under performing, being held back yes. It's a crime really.

van de Beek is someone being held back! Though serves him right for rejecting us for you, he’d walk into our team. Stupid dickhead.

I do think they’re overrated though, doesn’t mean I necessarily think they’re **** but I just feel the media/ some Utd fans view them as far better than what they are. Fernandes in fairness probably is underperforming and could/ should be better, outside of that I personally wouldn’t take the likes of Shaw/ Rashford at Spurs, certainly not in the XI anyway.

**** no, it’s why most of us want about 7 of our players sold in the hope of improving on them.

100% take Greenwood though for what it’s worth. He’s gonna be a top baller in years to come, really rate him.

    Wasted at Utd… <whistle>

Fernandes needs intelligent players to run for him, Rashford and Greenwood have massively regressed this season (**** knows why), there is nothing wrong with any of the fullbacks (Shaw, Telles, Bissaka or Dalot) but the CBs are a total calamity.
Everything that is wrong is coming from management/instruction, there is no spontaneity or fast one touch free flowing football.
Everyting seems to me slow and structured which leaves very little room for creativity or invention.

I hope someone in the club has an idea of a manger that can actually get this team to play with freedom and joy.

A lot of teams tend to be struggling with an identity these days, not sure why. We lost ours a couple years back when things went pear-shaped with Poch and then Jose/ Nuno were more or less disasters, though a number of our players simply aren’t good enough so that’s likely been a major factor in managers failing to implement anything positive. Conte’s trying to bring his own stuff and there’s been some highs and lows so far but until he gets backed it’ll continue being patchy. I’m pretty pissed that 10/11 days into the window we’ve done **** all, both with ins and outs.

In terms of your new manager, I hope you don’t get Potter, I think he’d do serious damage with a club that has better players and resources. Amazed he’s still at Brighton to be honest.

Always makes me smile when fans of rival clubs pop over here for a mope and some sympathy. We are football's shoulder to cry on having elevated failure to an art form. Which other side has won a CL semi-final in the last 30 seconds, then lost the final in the first 30 seconds? Finished 4th but still got Europa League? Came 3rd in a two horse race? Got booted out the inaugural Conference League? Got beaten by a lasagna? Precisely.

The next open session of Bottlers Anonymous will take place shortly after full time on Wed night in the Stoke Newington church hall. Newcomers and supporters of other teams welcome.

    Light refreshments will be served.
Heavy refreshments if Ndombele turns up.

    Kumbaya.

He didn't prevent Cavani challenging for the ball because he wasn't near enough the ball to challenge for it irrespective of whether there was an offside Villa player in front of him. So according to the Law there is no offence.

Whether it's a correct application of the law or not, I suspect that since it's ManU the VAR found a 'clear and obvious error' by the ref, but if the situation had been reversed it would not have been deemed a 'clear and obvious error'. Mind you, considering the amount of time it took to give the decision, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even notice the "foul" but were checking something else when they noticed it! So much for clear and obvious.

I've also heard on radio that people are saying it was the correct application of the law since a foul in the build up counts - goodness knows if how long before or where makes a difference because that opens up all sorts of pre-goal shenanigans to get taken into account. Also does just a foul count? Because clearly a handball like Salah did in the lead up to the Pool goal against us doesn't seem to.

Given how long VAR was looking at it, you have to wonder if refs were miked up if we'd here something along the lines of "Look, we need to rule it out somehow, find something which at least sounds plausible"

Because they don't make an effort to maintain one.

Clubs bring in a new manager that plays a completely different style to the last one.
Then they're surprised that the players aren't suited to it and are struggling to adapt.
    It's moronic.

When you think of Barcelona, Ajax and Dortmund, you automatically expect them to play a certain way.
They instil a general style throughout the club, from the academy to the first team and the coaches all the way up.
They'll tinker and adapt over time, but it's pretty similar and has been for some time.

Ahmet Calik of Konyaspor has died in a car crash aged 27.
The former Galatasaray centre-half was a full Turkish international and was having an excellent season.
His club are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Super Lig having conceded only 16 goals in 20 games.
He was in Turkey's capital Ankara arranging his wedding. RIP.
