Ayling was brilliant today, shame he went off.

Leeds had a really balanced side. Instead of playing Ayling at centre back when there are injuries, he needs to call on Hjelde or Cresswell

What happened to our famed tracking back, which didn’t happen result their second goal, if you allow that they scored the first.
Didn’t expect to win but pissed off with the “officials” so what’s new

He’s not a striker though, he’s never played well as the loan striker, Bielsa just persists for some unknown reason

We can blame injuries and I’m not denying they’re hurting us but damn we lack quality up front. James and Harrison are regular starters but they’ll never get us into the top 10.

I then think okay we have Roberts and Rodrigo out and it doesn’t comfort me, neither of those two are goal scorers. Yes we’re missing Paddy but he’s not exactly prolific.

I actually felt Firpo was very good today

The standard of officials is now becoming a fkg joke, Attwell has got to be down graded surely.
Klich again was poor, get rid.
    Harrison needs to join Klich.
Raphinha must have eyes on a move because it ain’t at Leeds.
Meslier should have gathered the ball before they scored and needs to be more vocal when collecting crosses.
I think if we survive this season we need a clear out, and we need a strong raw boned striker, Bamford is now becoming a chocolate man, no room for them kind of players.

    Agree.

However, I don't think we have a natural goalscorer at the club. That is something that we have needed for a while. Instead we spent 25 million on a winger that can't cross or score goals. It's not his fault, its the clubs.

Priority moving forward should be a young left back as understudy to Firpo (who was decent again today btw), a goalscoring midfielder and I'd quite happily sell Costa, Harrison and James and use the funds to buy someone like a Benrahma, Bowen type wide man who can score goals. Leave Summerville as back up.

Loan Cresswell and Hjelde out next season like Brighton did with White.

On the youngsters, I actually think they lack confidence themselves that they’re ready. They look to pass it on to their experienced senior players. A couple of times I thought Summerville could have cut in and have a shot, probably would have in an U23 game. That to me says they’re not ready

One positive to come out of this is that Greenwood has demonstrated that he needs to go out on loan this month - with a huge boot up the arse setting him on his way! He's obviously been skipping the 'pressing' classes. Did about as much as I'd do presently, but I'm twice his weight & giving him 40-odd years. Hugely disappointing performance for someone supposed to be hungry. I bet he still thinks he's a Billy Big Bollocks.

yeh, firpo has started playing well. I think our wide players have done ok actually but we desperately miss someone who can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

for all gelhardts promise, and that he’s built like a tank, he’s a work in progress from a ball retention perspective too

Watched the second half and have to say we don't help ourselves. Probably half a dozen through balls pushed too hard straight into touch. That is basic stuff - don't over hit a pass. Could've had a few decent opportunities if they had been played properly. Don't recal Wet Spam doing that once in the second half.

From what I saw Raphinha has gone off the boil and we really lack pace at the back, middle and up front.

More importantly I hope we can get something out of next week's game - not asking for much as a point would do.

I actually thought he ran like a lunatic for the first 20 minutes, chasing numerous lost causes… I was thinking he needed to pace himself…
