A win vs Watford and being out the bottom 3 would make a few players start saying yes

It's obviously a massive game for us and a must win. However, I'm not sure it will make a huge difference to players coming in. Those in the game would still see us as being in a relegation scrap. The ones who were put off by that would still be put off by it. We want the ones who look at our situation and trust themselves and the manager to get us out of it. Not saying it doesn't help, but it won't transform things in regards to transfers.

Lol people slating Wood yet ****ed themselves silly over Wilson. They have similar goal to games ratio

The dangers of stats. Have you ever watched Wood? He is effective. But its a proper step back in time. Nothing like Wilson. I don't think having someone that stiff and immobile is the way to go personally. I'd like another Wilson who doesn't let up. Belotti from Torino is the most similar I can think of to Wilson in style.

Yes. He'd have scored a hat trick yesterday.

We don't need someone who would score against Cambridge <laugh> So would Dwight Gayle. We are looking to improve. Wood would improve us in that we'd have another striker Howe was willing to play. However its seems daft to do a Mike Ashley and go to the bottom of the list first in our situ. And Wood would be near the bottom of all those mentioned so far.

For me a win and a few new players would tip the balance completely.

All of a sudden people will say nufc will stay up

Reality needs to kick in... This next 19 games is about signing the best of the worst in most cases.

Good players will say talk to me in 12 weeks but right now I have to make sure I don't damage my career..

I think these owners might surprise a few people. I think we will make a few effective signings, but I personally think there will be a few more exciting Trippier type signings too. Some will undoubtedly knock us back but I think we've done a lot of planning and spoke to a lot of people. We aren't doing what we used to and waiting to be rejected. We are putting out feelers and will take the best we can get.

I still think its gone quiet about Barkley and Loftus Cheek. Both want to play and I could see one of them arriving.

If you're not happy with wood then I suggest you go and watch Vlahovic. He's a slightly better version

If we're going for someone like Wood we should bang in a cheeky bid to bring Mitro home instead!
