Great experience for sure.
Interesting that the WA thing applies to returning residents as well.
Cost of fuel for him would have been around 300 pound each way, accommodation xmas period wouldn't have been cheap add tickets and meals etc.
If he has to fund his own 14 day quarantine then that's going to add a fair whack on top of the overall cost
Sounds horrific that!
There is no stopping this virus now. It's almost certainly a good deal less harmful in itself and the jabs will take most of the big risk away.
The great majority of people in the UK in ICU are either unjabbed or older with only two jabs. Similar figures are being reported elsewhere.
But when France reports 200k+ in a day on significantly less testing than here and there were180k here yesterday, ( both figures might have a backlog effect mind) and Oz on over 20k today, the virus is coming.
On these type of figures, and if they keep coming, restrictions are virtually pointless. Holland are in lockdown and seeing cases rise.
What is not happening to anything like the same extent now is hospitalisation and ICU occupation.
WA might have to do what almost every where else is beginning to do, and start living with it.
