Anyone ever used any of these i was thinking of taking up a hobby modelling and was thinking about making a largish village type setting and was wondering which if any are any good for this type of thing.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

My next door neighbour has one, he makes bespoke tools, bits and pieces for the house, all sorts with his.

That said, all you need for village modelling is this...

Any knowledge gleaned from him on cost of the printer and cost of consumables? I have it in my head you can pick them up for, say, £400 but I wouldn't expect it be able to do much at the budget end, or it would cost more to make stuff than buying anyway.

Notwithstanding custom stuff you can't buy, that is.

He got it off his work so I suspect it's a high end model. I'll ask.

If you search model railway kits then there's a ton of stuff that someone has already either 3d printed or laser cut for you already.

Theres so much stuff from cardboard, to plastic, to etched brass, painted/unpainted etc it really just depends what takes your fancy and how you like wasting your time haha!

Don't know if you have ever seen world of Warcraft realms with cities like Stormwind and other areas like Orgrimmer but i would like to create something like that from scratch i play the game on my pc and would love to give it a go with all the terrain.

This link you posted shows that the 3D printers can greatly help create the buildings and terrain.

No
It has a couple of print core sets and a materials station.

It was supplied new in Feb 2019 and I closed the firm down in April 2021. It is the property of a finance company who had a buyer for it and no one got back to me so it’s in my warehouse. I was planning on contacting the finance co tomorrow anyway.
