Mane knows exactly what he was doing. He knows the lad is there.

It's one of two things. He's worried about clashing heads so raises his forearm as protection or he intentionally hits his face with his arm to damage him first minute.

I think its the first but either way it's a red card all day.

Di Canio told Sky Sports Italy: “This interview shows the weakness of an athlete who after six months gives up, perhaps because he arrived there with the arrogance of someone who doesn’t realise what his real level is.

“He won the Scudetto in Italy as a co-protagonist with his other teammates, but he’s no Lionel Messi. Inter would’ve won even without him, if they had Duvan Zapata or someone like that upfront. He is a functional player who did his duty in that team.

“He then went to the Champions of Europe, in the Premier League against sides like Manchester City and Liverpool, where he is just one of many big names. If you arrive at Chelsea and think you’re going to be number one, you are in for a rude awakening!

“Chelsea played much better without Lukaku. He is a fragile player, so he seems to have character, but when he talks like that, the truth is he is very fragile.

“Lukaku scored an incredible own goal here, it was a disastrous interview that made absolutely everybody unhappy, including himself. As I always said, he’s a big soppy cat more than a panther, he has never been hungry or determined in the big situations.

“I think Chelsea are tearing their hair out with regret over this transfer, especially as they didn’t even really need this player.”

It's more that he's a bit of a flat track bully mate ... think he has a total of 16 goals against the "Big 6" and that having had 3 spells with those clubs himself ... contrast with Jamie Vardy ... never played for any of them but now has 40 against them in 3 fewer seasons ...

I've not seen it. I didn't watch the game but caught the highlights. Havertz incident not shown. So I just searched YouTube "havertz elbow vs Liverpool" and it came up with nothing.

I'm just reacting to the highlights I've seen and Mane is either intentionally hurting someone or is a coward. Either way it's a red with that contact in today's game.

I saw the game and the so-called Havertz "incident" and all I can say is that's a lot of words for a response that simply deserved a <laugh>

Literally the Same as Mane's incident.

But not shown and no one outraged at that one<laugh>

Silvas dive the other day is a great example of the medias Blatent racism/double standards, not a word about it really.

Imagine that was mo or mane, fukin never hear the end of it<whistle>

Mane has been a target for about 2 seasons now, gets absolutely **** all in terms of protection from refs, kicked and pulled to **** most games and gets nothing. so I couldn't care less if he chucks an elbow at some chav scumbag<whistle>

All players jump with their arms up, it's a natural thing to do.
The difference is most use them for inertia to push the jump higher or to push down on the opponents shoulder to hold them down.
If you watch the Mane foul in real time (not slomo) he purposely pushes his arm forward into his opponents face (with force), this is not natural and deserves a red (or a good leg snap during the game).
Same with Kane and his "tipping" people, either sent off or carried off both would be good.

Yep. I played the game for long enough to know when something is done intentionally or not. Kane backing in is really dangerous but he has learnt that he gets free kicks for it. Mane is more ****housery imo.
